Been having a hella-hard time trying to find this strip. Like, for 2 yrs Dunno if the difficulty has been a brain fog thing, or a FUBAR-google thing. Or due to the artist (Kornelia Paulsen) deleting her insta (prbly all of the above) Anyone know if Kornelia is doing okay? #ME/CFS #MECFS #LongCovid
2x3 comic panel layout, illustrating the increasing isolation/estrangement experienced by ME/CFS sufferers throughout the disease's progression (from pre ME/CFS onset, through the mild, Moderate, Severe, and Very Severe stages).

Panel 1: (title text) M.E. (subtitle) HOW IT CAN SHRINK ONE’S LIFE BITS BY BITS

Panel 2: “BEFORE M.E.” illustration of buildings and objects in a row (depicted in a simple cartoon style elevation, or front-on, view); essentially representing various activities and places of a full, social, active, and purpose-filled/productive life. In other words; a high quality of life (depictions include buildings titled “WORK”, “CAFE”, “TRAVEL”, “GYM”, a residential house, among others).

Panel 3: “MILD M.E.” only the WORK building and residential house remain standing on a plateau, with the rest of the world (depicted in the previous panel) crumbled away (with the letters P, E, and M drawn upon the debris below; PEM i.e. Post-Exertional Malaise).

Panel 4: “MODERATE M.E.” only the house (with a single wilting flower) remains on an increasingly shrinking plateau, high above the PEM rubble.

Panel 5: “SEVERE M.E.” only a bed with the bedbound ME sufferer remains, completely isolated and alone atop the remains of the plateau, teetering far above the ruins. The plateau's base now a precariously tall, vanishingly thin spindle.

Panel 6: “VERY SEVERE M.E.” inked completely black; a void depicting nothing.

Yesterday’s ep of Dark Matter (S2E5 “Love and Be Loved”) broke me Just hits different, surviving (barely, at this point) 5 or 6 years of severe stage ME/CFS; Jason 24’s field note, “I’ve lost everything… Please just let me find a world where I can love and be loved.”
Screenshot of Jason 24’s handwritten wish in his field notebook (after panning down past the first sentence), “I have lost everything. The love of my life. My son. My home. Please just let me find a world where I
can love and be loved. ,” from the POV of Maria as she discovered it in the final scene of the episode.

Yes; Brittanica editors didn't reference early or pre-internet sources (or print/scholarly) for the 1964/65 demarkation claim (no sources are cited, in fact) But you missed this bit 2/10
Screenshot of Britannica article, intro to Generation X, which reads, "Generation X, a term typically used to describe the generation of Americans born between 1965 and 1980, although some sources use slightly different ranges. It has sometimes been called the "middle child" generation, as it follows the well-known baby boomer generation and..." With "...although some sources use slightly different ranges," highlighted.

Nothing to write home about with these. Just happened to have unpacked them after a recent move (there’s a 3rd teal one that completes the set; I’m about to spray the bases/caps satin white à la 80’s/90’s “Princess” models, which only came in the smaller 32oz size)

🤞 Filtering is easy and inexpensive, if cycling doesn't make a dent (cheaper non-Sawyer brand hollow fibre filters on Amazon; just need the type that screw onto 2L soda bottles for the purposes of squeezing. Recap with a basic worm drive hose clamp and a little patience; no need to buy a capper)
Example of a Sawyer brand "mini" hollow fibre water filterBasic/common small worm drive hose clamp

Oddest one he's clinging to is the one where he has anything resembling a clue And self-awareness must also be theoretical, in the most abstract sense; dude who *only* blogs (abysmally, I might add) had this to say yesterday:

Just a general PSA for the ME & Long Covid community The account calling itself "ME/CFS research” @cfsresearch is little more than a troll; just another Dunning-Kruger armchair contrarian masquerading as a subject matter expert

But less Cliff Claven, and more Abe Simpson explaining aviation history (pieced together from sugar packets). But also much dumber and more hallucinatory.
After listening to Grandpa Simpsons's absolutely insane (and incredibly incoherent and completely incorrect) rant about the history of the Wright Brothers' plane,.Bart asks, "So how do you know so much about American history?" To which Grampa Simpson answers, "I pieced it together, mostly from sugar packets."

Just kinda hits different when you’re a registered card-carrying Republican (it’s a Utah thing, don’t ask)
2024 general election ballot; voted Harris/Walz and marked Dem party-line all the way down-ballot

Umbrage! Harrumph! We are long past methane-buildup exploding latrines and wiping with the communal tersorium
An image of a tersorium; the ancient Roman equivalent of toilet paper. Essentially a communal sponge on a stick.

Charlie Brown and Lucy football comic

Lucy, "Here we go Salt Lake City, How about a new 'sports entertainment district'? Forget the Salt Palace, Delta Center, and Gateway. Never mind the failed promises of those boondoggles. Just give the billionaire everything he wants. This time will be different. I promise
