To answer your second question: you defend yourselves should someone try to do harm to your community. This typically does not look like a shooting match. Often times the presence of a well armed counter to Nazis is enough to deter them from committing whatever violence they want to do

Alright as a former rural living American I find myself qualified to speak on this discourse. Back in 2022 Michigan had the prop 3 referendum (allow access to abortion). The county I lived in at the time was one of the highest that voted no. It was about 62%. In 2024 the county went to Trump by 74%
