a screenshot from fire emblem three houses, with lorenz (a blue-haired and posh-looking noble) saying

are we really just taking claude's word for it?

there are 2 other students nearby, and they are congregated by a stone wall next to two sets of stairs by the fishing pond at gereg mach monastery

did you know many popular chat platforms have a built in anxiety indicator? it's true! you can usually find it at the end of messages on supported platforms

the discord (edited) mark, indicating a message has been edited since it was posted

i just learned something about jank! it has a c/c++ repl where you can just evaluate c++ code like it was python or something! (it also accepts the same flags as cc for adding libraries and stuff)

me running some random c snippets in a repl, including defining a function and calling it

full terminal output:

archenoth@Jirachi ~ $ jank cpp-repl
native> 3
(int) 3
native> 3+5
(int) 8
native> int add(int a, int b){ return a+b; }
native> add(5, 10) (int) 15

i've been practicing morse code for a little while now! so i was curious if there was a keyboard i could use to type it! deffo didn't expect it to already be built in! (though it's not in the canada version of the keyboard, weirdly)

a settings page for english (us) gboard, showing morse input between "pc" (a more full keyboard) and clearflow (another layout)

a set of keyboards enabled on my system, including a basic qwerty one for english (canada), qwerty japanese, japanese handwriting, english (us) morse code, and a keepass2android keyboard for putting in passwords from a password manager

morse is selected

woah! gboard has a morse code mode built in?? i didn't type this entire post in it, because i'm still actually pretty bad at morse...but this is really cool! there's even a few games you can play with it on morse.withgoogle.com!

i also grabbed the world's tiniest pencil crayons for the world's tiniest sketchbook~

a tiny sketchbook sitting in the grass with the bunny from the previous post on the right page, and a set of mini pencil crayons sitting over the bottom corner of the left (12 colors, with a sharpener and an eraser, in approximately the width of a business card)

there is a triple color (red/black/blue) kuromi-themed erasable purple pen sitting next to the sketchbook, the length of the pen being similar to the width of the entire sketchbook when it's open

i started a manga recently about a kyubey-style character who constantly fails to make magical girl contracts (magical girl contract failed puicho) so i was inspired to revisit it!

the back of the manga, showing a bunch of different drawings of puicho, and that the manga was published by square enix

the back reads (in japanese):

magical girl contract failed puicho

recruiting dreaming girls to make magical girl contracts!
puicho, a kind-but-clumsy fairy is tasked with this important job

he wants to become a great recruiter, but continuously gets rejected by girls with strong personalities, suffering defeat after defeat...

rejected, teased, and occasionally spoiled...
it's simultaneously heartbreaking to see how hard they try, and also very endearing!

a comedy about an awkward fairy, and his delightful friends, the long-awaited first volume!!

a photo of the manga open, showing pages featuring puicho, and a few other mascot-style characters

the cover of a manga called "magical girl contract failed puicho" (in japanese)

it shows a crying puicho on the cover, who looks like a very baby kyubey from madoka magica

it also says that the manga likes to hop between cute and "oh no poor thing" pretty often

the book is sitting on a sheet with a bunny in space with an orb helmet (by the artist cheese toasted)

i drew over the sketch in AzPainter! #tdm #mastoart

the same tdm bunny as the previous image; sitting on the ground, looking behind them with a small smile, with their arms reaching out to their feet

they are pink now, with cream colored highlights, including a star shape at the base of their right ear, a small band around the left, and their belly!

they are wearing a purple scarf, a diaper, and have a slight blush under their eyes

the linework is much more polished, with shading and other details not in the original sketch

my anki deck currently has 203 active chord and fret position cards that i practice a bunch still! (though, i did take a pretty sizable break when i went to japan) i know this isn't really an impressive "every day" kind of thing, but i like how i can have holes like these and not immediately quit

an anki graph showing review activity for my ukulele deck. it shows i started about a year ago, and did spotty-but-nearly-daily reviews until the last third of the year

it tapers off to nothing leading up to december, and immediately after

then, about a month into 2026, the reviews shoot up again, with sporadic-but-increasing frequency until the current day

it's snowing out! so did a little 3 color pen oshasketch at a cozy coffeeshop!

a photo of a small sketchbook with a melancholic oshawott holding onto a red flower with one petal falling to the ground

the sketch itself is only composed of black, blue, and red pen ink, with different shading for the different colors

oshawott is a little taller than their on-model proportions, and the outlines are done with thicker black lines

the sketchbook is sitting on a dark wood pattern table, and the tip of a purple pen is visible at the bottom right

i used my last one *so much*, since i could make it work with tasker and termux! ...which meant that i could essentially just write shell scripts that would run when i pressed something on my watch, and get the results back to my wrist! i even wrote a lil service manager!

a screenshot of a taskernet project i posted called "pebble termux services", wish 469 views and 33 downloads

the visible potion says "Allows you to manage Termux services from a Pebble watch using AutoPebble!", followed by a picture of a red pebble watch showing a screen titled "service management", with several services (emacs, irc-watcher, nginx, postgres) visible in a list, with all of them except the irc watcher turned off

a selfie of a tall and skinny white guy with blonde hair, wearing a pink and grey mega mawile crop top, color coordinated with grey skinny jeans and a pink abu bunnyhopps diaper that's peeking over the waistline

the room they are standing in has pink walls, a beige carpet, and mostly-black ikea furniture

a drawing by @kalowjager is visible sitting on the computer; an also-diapery oshawott on a phone, and a growlithe (her and i, but pokemon!)

there's also an ethernet cable running across the wall in front of the white trim, and a window showing a very verdant outside

got some extremely cute kuromi playing cards! the cards themselves feel super-nice, and visually, might be the coolest cards i have ever seen in person??

a picture of two decks of kuromi-themed bicycle playing cards, one pack open the other with a skull sticker visible on its box still

they're are several cards laying out, including

- a six of hearts, featuring five neon-pink illuminated kuromi-icon-styled hearts, with the sixth one being baku, kuromi's purple tapir friend

- a four of spades, with kuromi facing away from you, looking back over her shoulder at you while wearing two purple bowties on her ears, a hand over her month--the 4 coming from the two sides of each bowtie

- a 9 of spades, featuring a giant triple decker kuromi-themed cake with nine spades used as decorations. kuromi is standing next to the cake looking up on her tippy toes and only comes up to the second layer

- a 9 of diamonds, featuring kuromi stretching while sitting on a crescent moon, 9 stars around her in the night sky

- a queen of clubs, with an elaborate purple border and kuromi wearing night clothes relaxing on her tummy on a small soft pink bed with pillows nearby. text on the border says "kuromi" at the top and "cheeky but charming" at the bottom

there is a spread of the remaining cards in the top right with a joker visible on top, featuring a half-checker pattern kuromi with an inpish smile, sitting on a circus ball

the opened box at the top has the text written on it:
