Vizier Zaair is the advisor to King Fanden and affectionately referred to as "#1 nerdy boy". He is also the regional representative of Askiar in the fictional realm that the Michigan Renaissance Festival takes place in. Vizier Zaair with our Giant Elf Blade.

Pirate Daggers in progress and a finished Pirate Dagger Christian designed and made a handful of these many years ago and had posted a few pics on our social media. We've been getting requests to make more of them ever since. So here goes. What do you all think?

Smaug's Bane dragon themed sword, a new design we created this year. We made a few to bring out to the MI Ren. Fest. this year. We're eager to show her off to our friends there. This one is wearing a very chic black finish on her high carbon, heat treated steel blade and she's just over 40" long.

Most of the artists selling their works at Renaissance, medieval, & Viking festivals, create their own wares. If you want to be sure that an artisan at an event is truly making their own craft, talk to the people in the shops. We love to chat with folks who come into our booths...

Behind the scenes of our shop at the Michigan Renaissance Festival is always a bustle of activity. Steve and Devin are on the job, doing leather work, sharpening blades, wrapping handles, etc...to make sure our up-front counter folks can take care of our customers. Steve is sharpening a battle axe.

Backyard fun in the Michigan summer. War hammer against Vernors Ginger Ale If you don't know about Vernors, you're probably not from Michigan. 😉 The vapors were heavy for at least a 20-foot radius of the smashing. 🤣 #warhammer #puremichigan #steelart #hammertime #michiganartist #hammersmith #vernors

Lauren's Standard Short Sword This pretty blade will be used in an upcoming Aug. wedding. When a bride and/or groom wears a sword in their wedding ceremony, those in attendance better think twice before standing up to object to the wedding taking place. 🗡😂 #swordart #swordsmith #bladesmith #wedding

OK, thanks for the opportunity! 😊 We are Detroit, Michigan artisans and we work with high carbon steel. We make all of our blades full-tang construction, heat treat using the salt bath method to between 53 and 55 Rockwell, and give a lifetime warranty against breaking.
