I've been curious, why is there a prevalence of dehumanizing language inherent in the medical and legal fields. When dehumanizing someone only fosters acts of hate upon them.

Another weird math thought. On the unit circle with r=1 Comparing 6 with the circumference of 6.28 radians almost work to be 1/6th of a circle. So what if we add a correction value of .0471975512r+r giving radians which would be actually 1/6th of the circle? #trigonometry #math

Could I get the values of df=5 through 15? Or what is the tech to get this as a table. Because if the difference follows a fibonacci pattern . .005 difference between df 2 and 3 .003 difference between df 3 and 4 My Hypothesis is that it would .002 difference to df=5 And .001 difference to df=6

Oh i haven't gotten to Bayesian yet. My thought was that if there is a convergence between the distributions it could work as a shortcut for determining sample size given the margin of error. What did you use to get the table you shared that's really useful.

I conceptualize it as painting the responses, from the initial data set on an N-Sided die, where N is the sample size. And then rolling it.

Ahhh thank you so much. I couldn't find an overlay that got that specific. So it's close but not quite. It's really fascinating. I love stats because it's where math, society and ethics all come together. For example, the fact that bootstrapping works. Boggles my mind..

It works with 2 degrees of freedom or higher.

Hey everyone I have question. In stats class today we learned about the T-Student distribution and how it relates to the normal distribution. When using Staplet to look at the overlays it seems like the point where the two curves meet is -1.618 and +1.618. The golden ratio. But why? #statistics

So I've made the leap to finally go to college. And I am loving my statistics class so far.
