Did #Google vibe-code new date formatting code or something? What the hell are these result dates

It seems like the screenshot of the key doesn't match the actual page, like the colors got captured wrong. This is what they look like side-by-side.

I think it goes without saying that we should all be promoting this book now, in place of its author not being allowed to www.cnbc.com/2025/03/12/a...

I searched for the "148.5 kHz" frequency mentioned in the summary, and found it in the section on "Longwave broadcasting". This is the first frequency range mentioned on the page, but it is very clear that this range is only allocated in one specific region and nowhere else.
A screenshot of the "Longwave broadcasting" section of the "AM broadcasting" Wikipedia page. The section begins with "Longwave (also known as Low frequency (LF)) (148.5 kHz – 283.5 kHz) Broadcasting stations in this band are assigned transmitting frequencies in the range 153 kHz – 279 kHz" and includes a statement that reads "Longwave assignments for broadcasting only exist in ITU Region 1 (Europe, Africa, and northern and central Asia) and are not allocated elsewhere"

Obviously when I saw "148.5 kHz to 283.5 kHz", I immediately became suspect, because I know that (in the US at least), there are stations in the 600s and above. And sure enough, the article itself confirms that Region 2 frequencies are between 530 and 1700 kHz.
A screenshot of the "Medium-wave broadcasting" section of the "AM broadcasting" page on Wikipedia. An excerpt is highlighted that reads "in ITU Region 2 (the Americas), transmitting frequencies are 530 kHz – 1700 kHz"

Apparently #Google is now using generative AI to (incorrectly) summarize normal search results instead of using exact text matches from the result itself. I was picking up some noise on an oscilloscope and wanted to confirm whether it fell within the AM radio band...
A Google web search for "AM radio frequency range", showing the first result, which is the "AM broadcasting" page on Wikipedia. The summary below the result reads "AM radio frequency ranges from 148.5 kHz to 283.5 kHz".
