YouTube suggested a video which stated that side 1 of a compact disc was recorded at the wrong speed. Side 1 of a compact disc. I'm pretty sure it was generated by an LLM. I hope it was, to be honest.

I'm not too upset, and there are two reasons for it. First, I made backups of my purchases. Second, future Humble Bundle offerings helped me get the updated digital book alongside a few that I didn't have. Now I'm grateful to see that they're working to make a better transition for their players.

"all existing products, orders, and previously announced commitments will be honored" This part is good news I bought the Vampire 5e digital book within minutes of it appearing on the old World of Darkness site. When the site went down, my downloads vanished with it.

It feels like I had been able to find every flavor of Faygo except my favorite: Rock & Rye. Today was the first time I had Rock & Rye in many, many years. It brought happiness. And I still have eleven more cans. Imagine cream soda with cherry in it. It's good

I might get chatty here about the CDs I'm going through -- like finding this in one of the boxes: "Freddy's Favorites: The Best of A Nightmare on Elm Street." It has the music from themotorcycle scene in part 5. That alone makes it worth it. www.discogs.com/master/11862...

I'm looking at this cd of Black Flag's "TV Party" with some sadness. It wasn't uncommon to see criticism of the television. From the elderly "it rots your brain" conversation to young malcontents arguing that it lies and "if it bleeds, it leads." Ask those same people about their smartphones.

I wish that there was someone in person to ramble to whole going through those CDs. Helios will listen. He's a cat though. He will also try to send them to the floor. All things return to floor.

Every time my fitness app praises me for having an active day, the activity was the secondary effect of engaging with music. Today is was hauling those boxes of CDs around. I need to engage with music more frequently. youtu.be/EB5iuiIeViw

The "box or two" of compact discs I thought were in my storage unit turned out to be four boxes. Hundreds of albums. I can probably tell a story related to over 95% of them. What I was experiencing when it was new to me. Something about the band or recording. youtu.be/-CBTyi-ovO8

I've been listening to this today for the first time in way too long. A lot of it hits the same as when I was a teenager. A lot feels somehow more joyful and hopeful.

I'm finally pulling files off of my "old" Windows machine in order to retire it. This includes music projects that can get moved to my new machine. The only thing "wrong" with the old machine was it having a an older HDD rather than a solid state drive. 😥

One more thing about Helios: That cat is not afraid to make it very clear when it's too late to look at a screen He has bitten me (gently) just to tell me put the phone down. It was bedtime. He is a good cat, a good friend, and extremely wise.

To this day, the cat Helios insists on riding on my left shoulder while being transported through the house. Every time he pounces onto my arm, I feel blessed and grateful. I didn't know cats really did that. Now Helios has declared that I am his chariot.

I am eternally grateful for Helios. This beautiful cat refused to leave my side during another rough night. I'm glad the phrase "cat distribution system" exists. The stray who adopts you will show you some of the purest love that exists.

I'm watching the 4K transfer of Nightmare on Elm Street 5. Kelly Jo Minter was so good in both this and People Under the Stairs. I wish she had been in more movies. www.imdb.com/name/nm05917... The character Mark is an unsung treasure in this series: profoundly loyal and knowledgeable.

This is it. The Nightmare on Elm Street boxed set I have always wanted. Nightmare on Elm Street 5 uncut on digital media. That was the feature I wanted most. Freddy's Dead with the anaglyph 3D scenes available in the same set is an extra treat. I've been a fan for decades. This is perfection.

Some of the room got dedicated to Helios when he got rescued from that storm drain. No regrets at all. He rescued me, too. He is a very good cat. This entire project has been making life a lot better.

I finally cleared out the broken digital drum kit that had become a laundry rack. It’s gone. The laundry is put in a better place. A shelf got set up for small instruments & synthesizers. There is even room for my small exercise bike.

I wound up casually flipping through a few tarot decks collected during the start of the decade. There are only about three decks that I cycle through for daily personal use. It's fun to collect & reference these other decks, the same way I keep all those books as reference.

This is a part of why I enjoy being around the current ska scene. You get a notification that one band is premiering a music video. At least two other bands are likely to be cheering for the video in chat. Those creati circles are wonderful to be inside of.

Andrew Glyph @arcanasphere.com · 13/09/2026

I saw a picture of sometime who used to be part of the local music scene where I used to live. It was a long time ago, on the other side of the country. I miss being part of creative circles like that.
