He really is. The EU and the UK should come out with a statement supporting Zelensky, and Ukraine will hopefully keep flattening Russia's refineries.

The UK and the EU need to distance themselves from America immediately. And it's high time Americans took inspiration from France's high school kids and protested their monstrous government effectively.

Burnham should invite Zelensky to the UK immediately.

Il est temps pour l'Etas Unis d'avoir un nouveau President. Là c'est mieux.

It's all so desperate. If they try to void midterm results Americans need to look to France's high school kids for inspiration.

Look at reform and the Tories. The populist right wing little Englander exceptionalism is becoming so boring.

No. The US isn't strong - just look at the Strait of Hormuz fiasco and while the US has some serious people it is, alas, not a serious country.

My 86 year old aunt lives in a real life log cabin in that district and has a nothing but disdain for Republicans and Stefanik. She'll be delighted.

Que peuvent bien des historiennes et des historiens face à la colère d’un pays, alors que la mobilisation lycéenne bat son plein ? D’abord, démontrer que l’histoire n’est jamais écrite d’avance. Edito. ➡️ l.liberation.fr/I7U

Carlson is a wanker. And I never thought I'd agree with Rees-Mogg on anything. Speaking German would be the last of our problems.

It's laughable that he's running for political office. He's an idiot. Here in the UK he was David Cameron's chief strategist and advocated for Brexit. Fucking Brexit, that's gone oh so well. I hope he gets humiliated.

They're not even pretending now. These companies need to be brought to heel. Perhaps Brazil could level the playing field by shutting them down for the election.

A good friend used to live in the same house as 3D in Bristol in the mid 1980s, I got to know him a wee bit, he was a stand up guy back then and still is.

Today's main #BirdOfTheDay theme is #TheDivers so here's a pair of great crested grebes at a reservoir in East Sussex a few years ago.

My old PhD supervisor does this. He's a semi-retired palaeoecologist and, if possible, catches up with old friends and colleagues by giving talks and lectures at institutions wherever in the world he may be travelling. An excellent thing to do.

My daughter had to go to Manchester so I took her to Euston so she could get the train. This was the station midweek at around 11:00. I then spent an hour or so wandering around my old UCL stomping ground, it was a beautiful day, Gordon Square and Tavistock Square deserted and incredibly peaceful.

A wonderful few days in Aix en Provence. I came here as a student 35 years ago and have loved it ever since. Bird bonus: a dozen alpine swifts foraging over the old town one evening.

A man of Kent too, I wonder how much Norman ancestry he has. For someone who was a fellow at All Souls he certainly comes out with some ridiculous things.

There's a signed concert ticket somewhere too. Time for a beer and a listen to O C.M.S. It's been a while and it's such a wonderful album.

Saw them in Brighton, UK, in 2006. It was over 18s only so my 6 year old daughter couldn't attend. She loved dancing around to that first album and wrote a note telling them. Her mother managed to get it to the band and they read it out halfway through the set to loud applause from the audience.

Yep he's gonna get creamed in the midterms, Dems to win the House and they've got a chance with the Senate too. Trump likely to do whatever he can to overturn the results.

Johnson knows full well what communism is and the US isn't on that road, sadly something went so wrong somewhere that millions of Americans are too stupid to realise he's talking utter shit.

When he was governor of the BoE he called out the lunacy of Brexit much to the anger of the knuckle dragging little Englanders and now he's standing up to the Republican thugs south of the Canadian border. Bravo.

So much to be vexed about these days: war, inequality, climate, yet the Daily Mail steer their readers in the direction of a young mixed-race family. How desperately pathetic.
