Cosplay thread time! (I gotta get myself a ring light tripod, then I can take vids and just ramble in real time) But anyways I cut out the pieces for Drifter yesterday (thanks new cutting table!) and this morning I set up my space to actually put stuff together

I don't like new years. I think it's something about the way it forces you to zoom out? Like I can find so much joy in individual moments, in small things, but my combo of bad brain means that when I look at the bigger picture it's either anxiety over the future or depression rewriting my memories

Ok so I *can* actually still solder! My iron just isn't powerful enough to reliably do 18g, which is disappointing, but 30g will be fine. (I had been putting off practicing because it hasn't been working at first and I thought I'd completely lost a skill after neglecting it for a decade)

I'm only in ch9 but BIG RECOMMEND. Not only is there fucking fantastic world building, plot that gets revealed layer by non-linear layer, characters that rip your heart out as they struggle/grow/clash/manage to be trans in the weirdest yet most relatable of ways, but also it's hot and funny as fuck

Unpopular opinion, but I really like gross winter weather. It's the one time I don't get overheated imidiately, the overcast sky doesn't hurt my eyes (which is a constant problem), aestheticly you can't beat the skeleton hand trees clawing at the sky, and the constant drizzle reminds me of home.

Stick fighting class was really good! Definitely going back next week! Absolutely the opposite vibe from martial arts I've tried before. No macho bullshit, lots of encouragement to go at your own pace, and the teacher was amazing about giving everyone personal attention.

What's the point of 3d printing your own d&d terrain without making at least a little over the top! This set wasn't meant to have a spinning floor, which is why it's mildly janky looking, but it's functional. I'm doing something fun with the colorful highlights
