The old man finally got his retirement cottage! GBBs are great webbers/climbers, but BOY they lose that when they mature as male tarantulas. Mosaic, six years in my care, only wants love. His old enclosure was dangerous, so he gets a flatland now XD #Chromatopelma #cyaneopubscens

Okay, I'll be honest and say that I had no idea this burrow was fully dug through. I had given her two "scrapes" under a cork slab, and she's been very Brachy about both of them. Couldn't find her today, but there's TOES in that burrow! Back leg toes too! Pretty sure it connects XD #tarantula

The pit stirs! Latches, my apparently adorable Monocentropus balfouri has come out for another full minute! She lives under a small cork slab, but crickets get her movin'! #tarantula #pethole

Pried myself away from Elden Ring long enough to buy THREE more Fittonias, and install them into my Porcellio leavis isopod enclosure! They take a long time eat these, so I gotta replace em eventually hahaha Red is #2 up front. The previous are in an ICU for now XD

Well I guess say hi to my new rescue! This cute 5 legged yellow sac #spider legit WAVED ME DOWN last night. It had a tiny grey V shaped butt, so I scooped it, gave it water. When it's butt was full and yellow, gave a mealworm hahaha Seems to be okay, almost... happy? Hasn't let go at all today lol

This looks like an emo word poem or cover for a mid-90s ZINE but it's just me getting around to labelling my tarantulas hahaha These popped out of a 30+ year old Brother label maker, and I'm loving the solid single choice of font that I get. Very clinical.

Anyone else have a tough time resisting a $5 Fittonia? Had these at the tarantula grocery store I frequent. Helps make $1.75 worth of crickets feel like a better trip hahaha Plus, I didn't have this one yet! [pokemon theme starts up]

a small dark green plants that has bright red veins, giving a vibrant contrast to it's look. the leaves themselves are more rigid than they look, feeling almost papery to the touch. fittonias are called nerve plants for their colouration, and there are 100s of different colour contrasted varieties.

I'm tearing down the summer solar lights, to store away nicely this year (no talking about last year, shuush), and discovered that little tiny spiders having been using the battery chambers to molt inside! Each of six lights had between 1 and 4 molt hammocks! Too cute!
