I’ve been trying to figure out how to express this for years (internally to myself and externally), and ofc “sleep-deprived-lesbian” on Tumblr comes in and nails it. Transness existing is such a relief and a blessing for us all.

A client told me today that a PDF I sent them triggered a pop-up indicating it had “AI-generated content.” At first I was like !!!??? but I remembered Adobe just pushed out an auto-on AI alt text generator. I have turned this off. PSA for other AI h8rs out there with a reputation to protect.

New work for Betty's Books' 4th annual Community Zine, celebrating Free Comic Book Day 2025! The theme was “Shifting Gears,” which I took both literally and figuratively in describing my switch to bike commuting in 2019. You should read everyone's comics here: sites.google.com/bettysbookss...
Single-page comic about learning to bike commute. I start out with a shitty bike in a basement, check the map, and find a 2.5 mi route to the Metrolink. But the cars are scary and there's a bunch of steps down to the platform. A friend suggest I try the next stop up 3.5 mi away. This time I ride through calm neighborhood streets and walk right up to the platform. But I'm terrible at mornings and keep missing my train! I check the map again an it's only 5.5 mi to bike the whole way, and I decide to go for it. I get to ride through Tower Grove Park, over I-64, and through Forest Park, and I don't have to pay for parking or get stuck in traffic. The final panel is me holding a turtle I saved.

It's so deeply cruel to not only position that people on the spectrum aren't able to contribute to society but that they must do so to matter. They, like all people, deserve happiness without reservation.

My hourlies, pt. 2. Better late than never. Here's the "me drawing hourlies" portion. 2 p.m. #hourlycomicday
I furiously scribble my hourlies, then fall into a stupor.

What's up Hourly Comic Day. 6:40 a.m. #hourlycomicday
I awake to an enormous HONK as my husband blows his nose (I gave him a cold last week). One minute later i am asleep again.

In honor of David Lynch, I humbly submit these sketchbook pages from 2013, when I was watching Twin Peaks for the first time and couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Giant Lucy from Twin Peaks looms over her two tiny suitors, Andy and Dick, and wrings her hands.Agent Cooper, back turned, holds a cup of steaming coffee and looks off into the distance as the traffic signal sways in the wind.

Greetings, I am an illustrator / comics artist / designer living in St. Louis. You can talk to me about riding bikes, organizing @slicexpo.bsky.social, or you can tell me a crazy story. There's a 67% chance I'm petting my dog right now.
Sendup of Seurat's Le Grand Jatte riverside scene with modern day characters and lots of geese.Single page comic of a person (me) singing Meg Myers's Little Black Death to their cat but replacing the word "death" with "cat." The cat does not understand. Santa does a BMX trick under the full moon.
