Crazy isn’t it. Upgrading was an annual or biannual event. I’ve had this M1 max macbook pro for 5 years and I don’t think the fan has even come on yet. Only reason to upgrade is I’ve run out of room for new stickers.

Came across a great pub in the pretty town of Sykesville Maryland. Superb local beers and some of the best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had! www.ewbecks.com

Hey #SAPCAP folks! The recordings from the Audimax and W1/W2 tracks at #reCAP last week have been sliced, diced & prepared for your watching pleasure, by our media elf. Two playlists, one for each track. Share & enjoy! Get them from the #reCAP YT channel home page 👉 www.youtube.com/@reCAP_uncon...

In the first initial release you need a system that is configured to use SSO/SNC. RFC Password flow planned for next release.

It searches in the default locations of the local file: "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common" for Windows and "/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/SAP/ " on Mac.

I raised a ticket with SAP. For rfc type connection it is looking for a SAPUILandscape.xml file. This is normally created by Sapgui login entries.

I Can connect to a cloud system (HTTP) . When trying to create an on-prem RFC type destination I just get “No system configurations found”. Any ideas what it is looking for?

Can’t say I loved universal ID, but now I can’t seem to select which SAP account to log into with my email address? Just goes straight into a client linked account! What am I missing?

Perplexity summed it up for me: So the wiki idea is not dead, but it has definitely been “converted into enterprise content sludge” for most users

Also the passwords are now 15 characters long with no characters allowed that were used in your last 18 passwords, and at least 6 in Cyrillic. I can’t remember them 10 minutes after resetting!

I feel like we repeatedly struggle in the handoff between the swimmers (traditionally a small percentage of the community) and the non-swimmers. Maybe Gen Y will have a totally different distribution?

Most people are happy to wade out into the ocean up to their knees. As it gets deeper and rougher we get less comfortable. We need a sure footing. There are others who realise that change is the only constant … they know they need to swim, and keep swimming.

It wasn’t the methodology that mattered, it was the ability to change to fit the circumstances. As soon as it picked up momentum, we had the project management class come in and learn “Agile”, mostly by reducing it to a set rules that could now be treated as religion. Doing Agile <> being agile.

My 2 bob: The pattern repeats because the distribution of archetypes doesn’t change. The folks who invented agile thought hard about the issues they were facing and created a new way of working that made sense to them and cut out a lot of the waste.
