I think Putin figured he had another Lukachenko puppet in Zelensky. After all, he’s the anthesis of the Ukrainian Nationalists Vladimir hates so much – liberal, cosmopolitan, Jewish, Russian speaking, from the world entertainment. I think Vlad was disappointed.
