So, yup! That’s the back of your piece in the photo. (Might come in handy to know this eventually so you’re not working on the wrong side on some future project…ask me how I learned this. *lol sob*)

He’s doing a heckin’ good recreation of the old Memorex tape ad - bestclassicbands.com/wp-content/u...

A black and white photo of a man sitting in a cube-shaped high-sided chair, his hands grasping the fronts of the arms, hair and tie (and the lampshade beside him) flying straight back due to the sheer (supposed) epicness of the sound coming out of the speaker in front of him.

I think you have your piece turned the wrong way round for this photo, perhaps? In this photo, your purl stitches (- - -) are at the bottom, and your knit stitches (v v v) are at the top. But if you flip the piece over and look at the other side, the purl will be at top (what you most recently did).

Golly, that’s difficult to properly line up which bit of which word goes with which note! I guess people of the time would have had more practice with that. I am very grateful for modern type that can fit properly with notation, for sure.

Here’s Archie to bring a moment of Zen to your timeline. Take three slow deep breaths. Then maybe go pet a cat.

Archie, a brown and black tabby cat, lounges across two dining room chairs draped with a soft grey blanket. He is in prime Loaf Formation, except his two front paws are stretched out in front of him and crossed at the wrists. His eyes are closed in a state of comfort and relaxation.

Oh, you’ll appreciate the little pieces I saw at the Spode Museum in England! These are bone china (the cats have glass eyes) and are circa 1910.

A glass shelf holds a teapot, cup, and plate, with another plate visible on a lower shelf. The teapot and cup are both coral pink with gold accent edges, and each has a white cat in place of a handle.

I note that they’ve updated the title and pertinent info in the article to say “Early Modern English”. They must have got *such* a backlash.

That’s a hurdy gurdy (vielle à roue in French)! It’s a bit like a violin with a piano interface. Instead of a bow, there’s a rosined wooden wheel that rubs on the strings by was of the crank being turned, and instead of fretting the strings with my fingers, there’s a set of keys with tangents.
