When you say AJ, do you mean Ashkenazi Jewish? If so, that would be a mistake as it would leave out many others who may also wish to be counted. Please ask that they put “Jewish.” Shavua tov.

I recommend adding “Jewish” in the ethnicity column & in the religious column, if they have both. If they only have ethnicity, Jewish should be added there. Per usual, checking boxes is optional. Those with intersectional Jewish identities can pick other boxes. If it’s a Jewish org, add our many IDs

We have memory to protect us from repeating grave failures. Let’s hope our human family can turn this around lest we repeat mistakes of our past. It may start with Jews, but doesn’t end with Jews. Please let me know what your company is doing in comments or via DM. Need event ideas for the year?

Consider offering a time and space for your staff to light candles and reflect on this important day. Perhaps invite a speaker or sponsor a trip to a Holocaust museum. Our antisemitism course is still available until the end of the month if you’d like to assign it to your teams. (Link in last post)

Your staff may be experiencing a variety of emotions this week, please know that many from Jewish community will be reflecting on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and similar warnings we see in today’s conspiracy theories, rhetoric, & violence against the Jewish people and others.

The next episode I'm lucky enough to record will be my second one with my trusted friend Nate Looney talking to these amazing Black Jews about their experiences as such - both positive and negative. Please send me your questions by Thanksgiving! And remember it's released a month or so later!

Episode 10

Please send Boaz any questions you hope to ask the guests by 11/28
