I hope that the MAA Statement on AI in Higher Education will provide a useful lense for thinking about how AI could impact teaching across the mathematical community as well as more specific guidance on how the community can support student learning during this time. #EduSky #ITeachMath

A really great piece by Lew Ludwig. We are past the point of pretending AI doesn't impact our work as teachers, but, to use Lew's term, it is now the time to exercise our own agency and determine what it means to teach well in a world that includes AI. #iTeachMath #MTBoS #AIEd

AI can now assess student work, but has no professional obligation to the student behind that judgment. I built a framework for what math instructors owe students there: ethical questions crossing AI's assessment functions against four principles of professional ethics. #MTBoS #AIEd #iteachmath
