In the middle of a session with Claude about setting up some sandbox tooling, in which I had mentioned very few personal details at all, it suddenly gave me a message in French. It said this was an error after I responded saying I don't speak French. But I got curious...

As funny as it is that DeepSeek may have been trained on OpenAI's output... Why the fuck does their terms of service prohibit distillation to train new models, when their website still says this? It's very clear they want the benefits of AI hoarded, and the ramifications spread far and wide.
