Been painting nightingales again with my homemade natural paints, including a silly one of a chick in a nest 😅
Earth pigments: sandstone, clay, anthracite
Botanical inks: hawthorn, oak gall, sloe, willow
+ copper pipe for the blue and citric acid to modify the sloe to be pink enough for the legs!
