Can’t stop thinking about a date I went on years ago. I drank A LOT at a bar in the East Village and it was our 3rd date so I suggested he come home with me but he said “No, you’re too drunk. I wouldn’t want u to regret it later.” And I was like lol wut that’s not a thing. Reader, I married him.

I also finished 1922 (2017) last night and this one is way better. It's a slow burn type of horror but one of the better ones out there. Thomas Jane did an amazing job playing as Wilf. A very Edgar Allan Poe-esque film.

Found myself saying "wtf" and "that's so stupid" in many of the fight scenes but it's just for fun, these kind of movies are the type you where you turn off your logical thinking skills and just watch it like you'd eat junk food that has zero nutrition

Just finished watching Demon City/鬼ゴロシ (2025) and it was decent. Some of the fight scenes were good, some were meh. Final fight scene could've been better imo. It's fun watching Tohma Ikuta in this kind of role. 4-5/10 for me.

I rewatched Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) and I still think O-Ren Ishii's scenes are the best especially when she first enters the restaurant with the Crazy 88

I rewatched both Hostel (2005) and Hostel II (2007) and I enjoyed the second one more because you could see both sides of the sick, wealthy psychopathic bidders and the unsuspecting victims side plus it had a queer character. While the 1st one set up the premise, 2nd was better.

September 30, 2026: I made chicken adobo with my usual sautéed kangkong or water spinach over a bed of shirataki rice. I had pork sinigang with shirataki rice earlier but I forgot to take a picture.

I am now ahjumma status. I was telling my South Korean ESL student about how a lot of Millennials loved BoA and her songs. I told her about BoA singing in various languages, tried to penetrate the US music industry, etc. and my 15-year-old student said "ahjumma listen to BoA" 😭

Just finished Barbarian (2022) after seeing Weapons (2025) and Resident Evil (2026), I wanted to watch more of Zach Cregger's movies. I can see more of his filmmaking style and how it's evolved over the years. Justin Long and Georgina Campbell did an amazing job in this.

I regret watching this movie Margaux (2022), it was so bad. Curiosity got the best of me. 2 or 3 out of 10 rating for me. This movie is about the dangers of AI and while I love that concept, it was executed poorly. This shitty script seems like it was generated by AI.

I'm tearing up bec my niece gifted me Silent Hill: townfall days before my birthday. She randomly asked to add me on Steam, she mentioned she wanted to play Left 4 Dead. I was so surprised to see she gifted me this game. This month has been difficult so I'm crying over this. 💝

For those who don't know, they're banning Discord, Reddit, etc. amongst other in the Philippines. They claim the root cause is to protect children since the rise of school shootings have happened in the country but in reality, they want to suppress our freedom of speech.

I just finished watching Lisa Frankenstein (2024) starring Kathryn Newton, Cole Sprouse, Liza Soberano etc. and it was fun! I was surprised they made Liza's character kind towards her outcast sister, Kathryn/Lisa. Reminds me of both Edward Scissorhands and Heaters

DoorDash has ripped off more than 260,000 NYC delivery workers. We’re making them pay $131.5 million — the largest worker settlement in City history. This is New York, where hard work pays and greed will cost you.

DoorDash messed up.
They repeatedly left more than 260,000 NYC delivery workers underpaid or paid late, causing them immense stress and financial difficulty.
That's unacceptable.
We've secured a $131.5M settlement from
DoorDash - the largest worker settlement in NYC history and largest delivery worker settlement in
American municipal history.
Every worker will be paid what they are owed, and every company will be forced to abide by the laws of this city.

Applying for a PWD (person with disabilities) ID at city hall is so tough. I feel so disheartened that I need to return with MORE evidence when the psoriasis is apparent on my arms. I was so tired going there, only to be turned away. Philippine government is so inefficient

Abigail (2024) was more enjoyable than I thought it would be. This movie was on my backlog and I finally got around to watching it. It's better to go in blind to fully enjoy the story and the characters. I think the cast did a good job it was pretty funny at times.
