i got carried away making a server banner

banner for a personal server made in the style of frutiger aero featuring the name "VirtuaMall"

I've only seen it once so far, but I felt a similar sadness at this exact scene. I liked that Mary stuck around for a second, as if she's seeing, like you said, a caricature of her patient personified. There's almost a look of pity in her eyes that I resonate with for some reason.

God there's a ton I want to say to add on to this but I can't fit it all. Some of this has to do with computers still being kind of niche back then, less to capitalize on, less inviting to MBA graduates. Also, and I feel like this is important; a time prior to the patriot act. It felt more hopeful

Due to their strange but familiar anatomy, one of their favored party tricks is to inhale a lungful of air and "blow" into their thumb. This motion causes the air to force it's way into the "stomach" through the lower valves, emulating the classic cartoon trope.

Oh yeah, general "tissue" structure is an unknown material sharing many of the characteristics of polyvinyl, with notable differences being its overall toughness and elasticity when compared to the real thing. Some say it shares properties with silicone or neoprene-like materials and seems to vary.

synthetic G.I. has a few ways of working, primarily absorbing water, but can extract nutrients for internal/external healing. Respiratory system works like you'd expect with a caveat, secondary connection to synthetic stomach None of this is set in stone but it's been fun to think about

the air/water matrix basically works like fat cells (think orbeez) which they can collect/retain from either the G.I system or the valves directly. Overall shape and form is manipulated with the articulating structure and shapes can be modified with use of the internal valve system.
