#Ayotzinapa12años On the 12th anniversary of the disappearance of 43 students of Ayotzinapa, a state crime, we are in solidarity with the families who march for justice for all those responsible and the truth. We echo their unfulfilled calls to Mexican authorities and demand to know: Where are they?

Canada and Ecuador are expected to sign a Free Trade Agreement in the coming days—but Ecuadorians say they were shut out of the process. The deal puts investor protections ahead of democracy, human rights, and the environment. 🧵 For background on why people say NO: bit.ly/4yzlN6e

We need a different kind of trade. Trade that puts people before profits. That upholds Indigenous rights, protects human rights and the environment, and supports a just energy transition that benefits workers and communities—not corporations. That's the trade we're fighting for. 🧵

I fought the parts of this agreement that go against the interests, the human rights and the clear will of the Ecuadorean people, bringing it to the International Trade Committee for study, meeting with the Ecuadorean ambassador and with Ecuadorean indigenous reps. Canada should be ashamed.
