See an example with the Google settings 👇 console.cloud.google.com/auth/clients The Redirect URI you need to use is: oracleapex.com/ords/apex_au... PS: The old domain - apex.oracle.com - will be used for marketing purposes only.

⚠️ Remember to fix your APEX applications Social Sign-in settings! The free APEX evaluation service is now moved to oracleapex.com. Which means that all of your applications, using Social Sign-in with Google, Office365, OKTA, etc. will fail unless you change the redirect URL in your SSO provider.

I recently needed a quick (and reusable) way of setting up OCI Object Storage Buckets and access to them for a personal project. blog.apexapplab.dev/scripting-oc... Read my blog post to see how I scripted all the steps using the OCI CLI, using some help from AI and Jon Dixon's original tutorial ✨

We got a great overview of the capabilities of the new SQLcl Project feature. No better person to present it than @apexconsulting.nl - one of the first to use it for his CI/CD pipeline in production! In my opinion - the way APEX (and database) versioning and deployment will be done in the future 💡

While in VS Code, open a Terminal window and launch SQLcl in nolog mode: ▶️ sql /nolog Then store the export file’s password in SQLcl’s secret manager: ▶️ secret set myExportPass MyExportPassword Import the JSON file: ▶️ connmgr import -key myExportPass /path/to/SQLDev-connections.json 🎉🎉🎉

Plamen Mushkov @apexapplab.dev · 04/03/2025
🔸 Protect the export file with a password to encrypt sensitive credentials. Save the file (e.g., SQLDev-connections.json) to a location on your machine. Ensure SQLcl version 23.3 or later is installed. This is bundled with both SQL Developer and the VS Code extension. ⤵️

Thanks for your blogs and the support from the whole team! Btw: I thought "git tag" was involved because I had tagged the version that I wanted gone, so just a coincidence and wrong assumption that deleting it had helped :)

But I hope I start deploying in production soon. I face some issues at times and I try to do more tests before I feel confident enough. Had issues with triggers that failed on deployment, had issues with apps deployment too. So trying to figure out the cause/solution for them. ⤵️

Thanks a lot for the detailed help! Yes, your article really makes sense and I will repeat the steps to get a fresh copy of the DB. I have been using SQLcl Project for some time now and really love it. For the moment only doing the deployment part on my demo environments. ⤵️

... and update the "lastReleaseVersion" property in project.config.json file, located in .dbtools folder.

Plamen Mushkov @apexapplab.dev · 24/02/2025
Well, also remove the Release lines from the /dist/releases/main.changelog.xml file. For example, remove this line for release 1.1.0 ⤵️ <include file="1.1.0/release.changelog.xml" relativeToChangelogFile="true"/>

... and would not allow reusing the 1.1.0 release number. Here are a few tips - use "!git tag" to list all existing tags. If you see the one that you want gone - use "!git tag -d release-1.1.0". Note: use the tag name exactly as listed - "release-1.1.0" in this case. Any comment and suggestion? 💡

🔸 I need to delete a release that I have just created. There is no command to do that. Only way is to manually delete the release folder and artifact. But it's not all - if you have used the "!git tag" option (ex. !git tag release-1.1.0), SQLcl will still check for existing tags ... ⤵️

Having fun with SQLcl - few observations: 🔸 For some reason I had a package that was exported using .pkb and .pks for the body and spec. After I upgraded to the latest version, I now have the package duplicated in my repository, because both files are exported with .sql extension. ... continues ⤵️

Yes, good option. You might laugh at me, but I haven't got Homebrew yet. So sticking to the classic way for now. However, one line of code is better, so next update might be that way :)

Plamen Mushkov @apexapplab.dev · 21/02/2025
Yes, updating the SQLcl version on my macbook is THAT simple: 🔸 Download the latest version archive 🔸 Extract to a folder (like sqlcl_new) 🔸 Rename your existing sqlcl folder (like sqlcl_old) 🔸 Rename sqlcl_new folder to sqlcl 🔸 Restart any open Terminal 🔸 plamen$ sql -v 🔸 SQLcl: Release 24.4.1.0 🎉
