The inner mouth of the Xenomorph is blown clean off and it shrieks in pain, a small gush of acid pulsing out of the ruined tube. The bladed tail swung around, reaching out to its full length and moving to spear Sanzo in the right side, a last defiant act before it would die.

Xenomorphs do not have eyes in the way that humans do but they can "see" using a mixture of spectral sight and pheromone detection, allowing them to literally track the fear from their prey and find them, as well as a more innate psychic awareness of hosts within a larger, but less precise, area.

Whether Xenomorphs eat food or not is unclear. In Sunder's interpretation, they do not need to consume food but may mutilate bodies as a fear tactic for when other hosts discover a body. They will always be violent. Their trifluoracetic blood carries all the energy they need in their life.
