In that other comment about fees, saw an article a few years ago. 2018 they looked at the changes in bank fees over 30 years, I think 1978 total bank fees were like 188 million for the entire industry. 2.1 Billion in 2018. Just my memory of the article so fact check but I think it is likely close.

Yeah sounds like we grew up in the same places even they may have been years and miles apart and your family is still in the biz. Actually love that lifestyle. Self Sufficiency. Farm enough to get paid well enough to support a family replace what you need to, subsistence farming.

Not pulling it right now but remember a book I really shouldn't have read so early but it is about the Chicago meat packing plants and it helped get changes made, Upton Sinclair is the author I think, been 43 years since I read it, usually better with the memory, seminal work though really hit me.

At 7 I could reach the pedals(gas and clutch) on the small tractor that pulled one of the hay trailers after bailing, so that was my first experience same week I got the home push mower and had to do that, That was 1978.

I love my local Indivisible group is using it, we need alternatives for groups, it is so (I don't know what word to pick) much part of society and has reach it will be difficult to take its grip away. My Mens Spiritual Group created a different interface for me when I asked, so that was nice.
