Yes, I think that is a reflection of Langas's current form and the absence of Clarke. The whole of the defence needs to be so much stronger and more dominant.

Breaking down a well organised defence needs quick passing and movement, inventiveness, and or someone willing to take people on to pull the defence out of shape. We lack all of those qualities for the most part. That is not Derby's game, sadly . #dcfc #dcfcfans

I thought Derby played quite well in the opening 20 mins and looked the better side. Ironically, the sending off did us no favour. Derby's weakness under Eustace is breaking down defensive teams. We never really looked like scoring. #dcfc #dcfcfans

I suspect that the five year deal is more of an accounting mechanism than anything else. 6,7 and even 8 year deals for young players seems to be a thing these days.

I think Derby have defended pretty well to be fair. Conceded a lot of possession but not many clear cut chances. A lot more energy and commitment in the tackle. However, I'm definitely not ruling out a Charlton type final score. Derby really need to create more.

Personally, I'm happy it's not going ahead. However, we have to be realistic and acknowledge that Clowes doesn't have the financial clout needed to push for the prem. I'm fine with that. I'd rather be a middleing club in local ownership than a top flight vanity project for some dodgy billionaire.

Disappointing end to a great season. Derby were pretty much in control until Ward had one of his moments. After that, Derby lost all direction and composure and Sheff Utd became the team they really should be. As it happens, it didn't really matter. #dcfcfans #dcfc
