Have to go to London and deliver a big presentation which will be at least 40 minutes long. Absolute nightmare. I do not want to “circle back” I want to have a big lovely sleep.

BIG WINNER BOI! Over the moon with my first 5-0 at the Welsh Open. Some kind pairings helped, thanks to my opponents the last three games were all super close. Welsh Open continues to be a brilliant event and @priorityloser.bsky.social and the Welsh homies are the best ❤️

3-0 day 1 - got to play 15 kroxigor in the morning. Which may be a disaster.

I’m moving to a different Programme and team on Monday after a challenging few years working with some real c*nts. My boss said lovely things about me and got me this pen. It’s perfect.

Welsh open this weekend can’t wait to play Seraphon three times and STD twice. Let’s go!

Painted Gelgus, don’t love it but not redoing it!

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Played against Tom and his Ogors for the first time, 62-67 for the Ogors, this was my first turn, gave the double away but Tom got the “dmg in 3 phase” tactic rolling before I had any FP. We realised after I could have made it into a draw!

Made a very complex meme on the Mawcrusher base. Please enjoy this high quality work.

Quickly boshed out ole Mr Fisto who, will to the surprise of no one, be a Lord of plagues.

0191

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Fixed up this Lord of change which a whilst ago a club mate “yeeted” off the table (“accidentally he said”). Added some texture to the rocks and pushed a couple of the highlights so hopefully he can travel to the Welsh Open at the end of the month.

I haven’t done a lot of painting recently, climate collapse did not make me want to sit at a desk to be honest. But painted some of the new Blight Kings, fantastic sculpts if not a bit mono pose. Glad they’ve got some decent rules now.

Not Warhammer related but I did get a tattoo today which is a reference to the band Pup who are VERY COOL AND GOOD.

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

They’ve actually made gargants look fun and potentially have more ways to play. The new models look genuinely great.

Newport Open was an incredible weekend. Really well run, loads of space around the tables and fantastic judging. If you haven’t been to one of these events before I cannot recommend it enough, but boy 8 rounds of Warhammer with tzeentch is tough (see pic 3 for vibes). 1/?

First game not on TTS for a while in the sweltering heat of the local store vs @rosschisholm.bsky.social the latest addition to the Welsh team! Tzeentch vs dok with Tzeentch taking it 76-65 with six tactics scored. A great game as always with Ross. Onto Newport this weekend, 8 games with Tzeentch!

Feud done! A 2-3 so not the result I wanted. Had some great games including playing Madigan r1 for a minor loss (71-71 five tactics to me, six to her!) and cutie Kieran (pictured with Nando’s which he ate). The TO crew were amazing and couldn’t have done more. Such a fantastic event I’ll be back!

We have had a last minute drop for Feud on the Fens, so if you find yourself with a weekend free, get in touch to grab the last ticket. Weather is looking perfect; BBQ on Saturday for lunch and lots of outdoor seating to enjoy a cold one from our bar. Remember those sunnies!

Absolutely over the moon to be spare player for the Six Nations this year for England. We’ve got a great team with a bunch of experience and new caps. Really grateful to Gareth and the Council for giving me the opportunity. See you in Stirling!

Finished up painting some more blues. Because 50 simply wasn’t enough.

0667

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

66-63 to the 15 kroxigor. Great game, three krox banging off 20 blues with -1 to hit wasn’t a great start but a good game with big swings both way.

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

I should be painting horrors. But instead, here’s a spawn.

0415

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Tzeentch day today. Not sure what will justify the Ogroid being close to a demon prince in pts but have been painting up a new spawn (WIP) print from Gannon.

First game of the new GHB. On reflection playing 70 horrors in a heat wave wasn’t a great idea. Ended 68-57 to the Hellsmiths. I scored 3 tactics with Jon taking 4. Great game and a lot learnt. The dmg prevention with fate pts is super clutch especially with the blues.

Had a great time as the TSN this weekend with all the buds. 7 of us in total. Not the result I wanted but had the best time. Thanks to @sixdiceskills.bsky.social for being a great host and shout out to my air b&b for not having a curtain in my room. Sleeping is woke anyway.

Finished painting this little wizard. Now the gaunt on disc is the only unpainted model in the entire tzeentch range I haven’t painted. I like how this fella has come out and his little staff.

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

Finished up my six enlightened. Because what’s better than six whiffy cav? Twelve! It’s literally twice as good #maths

1161

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 19/05/2026

6 discs done. I have now painted 21 discs for enlightened and/ or skyfires, which has certainly been an experience. Glad I spent so long painting the underside of the discs 🙃

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 15/05/2026

Tzeentch vs slyvaneth yesterday. Ended 52-50 to tzeentch. Lord of change got very lucky at one point surviving on a wound due to a misplay by me. Drycha was a real problem but killing her off meant I could scrap the win at the end.

081

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 11/05/2026

10 Pestigor done, all 20 finished. Great models. Now for more tzeentch.

0172

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Been practicing with tzeentch again, working on demons. There’s some spice in there for sure, and if we have any obscuring changes in the ghb that could be interesting. Played against gargants last night 68-68 in the end. A draw. Very silly game with a lot of clutch moments on both sides.

0131

Carl @aoscarl.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

10 pestigor done. Really pleased with how these came out. Really cool models. Now another 10 to do!

10 rotswords done, all 20 painted 🫡

Closing in on finishing 10 more rotswords. I haven’t finished the blue but this is before all the rust and the final wash. Look how shiny the armour is!
