The giant Doug Jones survived the storm. The Christian nationalist flag a few houses down did not. 😂😂😂😂😂

Power still on. Internet getting sketchy. A lot of cleanup going to be needed before work tomorrow. Hopefully just another hour of the bad winds before the worst clears up.

These girls crying over if this stupid concert is going to be cancelled bc we have a hurricane coming in are driving me batty. Fuck the concert. I’m more concerned if the structures they created for the screen will withstand the winds. Cause of not, they’ll damage the stadium.

Considering how much AI models hallucinate, I don’t know how valuable this is. And how much time we should waste “sifting through it.”

I spent two hours starting a “yesteryear” playlist of songs from the 90s and 00s that I used to dig (still a WIP), and then realized when I started to play through it in my car that nostalgia doesn’t ever really work on me. The songs don’t hold me like they used to.

If this admin can use "national security" as a reason to do so much bullshit, then I hope the next Dem admin is ready to do the same - then ofc, close the loophole behind them.

I’m not convinced Denmark didn’t just sell out Greenland. This orange tyrant isn’t going to just stop at that. You have him a foothold to use “national security” to rip away everything from Greenland and its people. www.bbc.com/news/article...

US and Denmark reach deal over Greenland's security

Trump said the agreement will give the US "permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland", though specifics haven't been confirmed by Danish officials.

So I’ve been back on TT recently bc I’ve been bored and a reading slump. What is up with the Musk bots? Like who is paying to create all the AI slop pro-Musk accounts? And why are the Ellisons pushing them onto everyone?

I’m on a budget billing plan, that is supposed to be adjusted yearly for a flat rate all year. My bill was adjusted $10 up this month, which is fine, but my account has a notice they’re going to adjust it up another $11 next month. My city has a data center owned by the power company.

I really dislike the Liberty commercials. All versions of them. But I do recognize that they’re 100% being created by millennials bc they have that weird humor thing very specific to our generation.

I may have somehow overdid it on my walk again. Abs and legs are feeling it, but not sure why bc I only did 5 miles and didn’t do anything particularly fast. Just a walk enjoying nature and the new Flophouse episode.

Things got a little scary there with Loki. But she’s bouncing back pretty well. Eating and drinking well. Bathing herself. Holding steady. And back to sleeping by my side (I was very afraid she was trying to find her quiet space to pass for a bit.) Now it’ll just be monitoring for backslides.

I spent 2 hours looking over student loan shit today and I’m just more confused and furious. I’m probably going to be paying $1k/month in student loans now. Which means, anything non-essential is being cut out. I’m not really sure how I’ll afford food given how costly everything is rn.

My takeaways from this Eurovision 1) They aren’t seeing the votes they’ve seen in previous years (& want the boycott countries back). 2) Imagine spending so much money on advertising to win in other countries and still not winning. 3) I’m happy Bulgaria won on so many levels.

As per usual, one country got in to the finals that was off key the entire time. But is attractive so that’s all that matters I guess. Semi finals part 2 was definitely the hardest to narrow down, imo. Surprise surprise there, ofc.

Baths/fountains deep cleaned and refilled today. (Doing my part to make sure the wildlife is watered during a drought.) Part 2 of planting done. Nice long walk as I listened to the UTDN VOD as well. Tomorrow going to get part 2.5 of planting finished and clean off my porch.

The Voting Rights Act is essentially dead and it’s quite possible that we will, like when a similar SCOTUS gutted civil rights at the fall of Reconstruction, see a disappearance of much of the Black congressional representation, especially in the most heavily Black states, which are in the South.
