Yeah, when interacting with people here I'm hesitant to use it too. I'd rather use a local term, but I'm not familiar with the nuances / if locals find a term offensive etc Like there are Thai specific words that I really hate but I don't know if other Thai trans people hate it too or not

Same, this is why I don't identify as Trans The current feel over here is if you announce you wish to be a girl its "yeah lady let's go we are supportive" but if you say your Trans its "your not one of the insane western lefty are you?" The name has been tainted and all by its own community
