Eywa was preparing for an advanced technological threat while humans on Earth still hunted mammoths. Let that sink in. QUEEN of prep-time ✨ . #avatarfireandash #afaa #avatar3

Guys holy SHIT— We got Mangkwan Spider in the bonus material for Avatar 3 DVD🤯 I’m guessing the studio was at some point brainstorming a possibility of Spider getting (forcefully) "brought into the fold" by Quaritch? . #avatar3 #afaa #spidersocorro #milesquaritch

#afaa #avatar3 #spidersocorro #avatarfireandash . Hearing people say Spider isn’t a compelling character or doesn’t work is so insane bc. What do you even say to a take so delusional and blatantly, factually incorrect?

ACTUALLY I JUST REMEMBERED. They cut out the scene where Miles refused to tsaheylu with Varang and ran off. It was supposed to bring more nuance to their relationship and how unhealthy it is because in spite of being a couple, Q can’t actually bring himself to genuinely trust Vara with his his mind.

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

Most definitely. There is zero breathing room between scenes, a lot had to have been cut. That scene in the swamp? It *felt* like it was meant to be a lot longer.

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 17/12/2025

Agreed. I was expecting more nuance and vulnerability. I was expecting more Neytiri parallels, and hell, maybe even a dynamic with Spider, bc of how much potential it has (Spider, blessed by Eywa, Varang, abandoend by Eywa) but we got none of that :( maybe those scenes were cut out for runtime.

Lyle called Spider from the hospital to guilt trip him into coming back bc he’s breaking his daddy’s heart

Music box lullaby-is sound is associated strongly with little children, so not only does it reinforce the parent-kid dynamic, but, from Q’s pov, shows that sees Spider as a literal baby. A little boy, naive and young and precious, since that word is also associated strongly with music box motifs.

I interpreted this being a more so Quaritch POV song, with the layered ticking meant to symbolise his rapid heartbeat (man is about to lay open his feelings to his son. He’s a nervous wreck about it), meanwhile the music box motif reflects how he sees Spider.

A3 SPOILERS‼️ . You guys don’t understand how insane I’m going over this specific song, knowing who it’s about. It’s abstract, meant to reflect the mental states and feelings of the characters in the scene I won’t spoil here…🧵 . #avatar3 #milesquaritch #spidersocorro

‼️SPOILER‼️ #avatar3 #avatarfireandash #spidersocorro #varang #milesquaritch . Gotta love Spider’s “FUCK IT WE BALL" attitude. He knew he was looking at the Tsahik of the Mangkwan, a very infamous clan, and not only tried to bite her, but then SPAT at her 😭🙏 what a goat. Quaritch better be proud.

Ofc no problem 🤭 I’m always happy to find new lore to dig into. I forgot to add to the second point, but Slang also notes that recom Q knows he’s an "investment". That he’s not really a person in RDA’s eyes, and I’m guessing it must be only adding fuel to the fire.

020

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

5. Recom Q is not a cut and dry new person or old Q, it’s more of a complicated mix of the two; there is no clear line where one identity ends and the other begins, they mostly flow into each other and Q takes turns bouncing from one end of the spectrum to another.

151

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

4. Quaritch cares about status and wants to be perceived as intimidating and commanding, which he expresses through his looks. The body, the clean cut hair, Q dresses to impress. I’ll add another interview, where Slang stated Quaritch likes to make everyone in the room feel like shit next to him.

162

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

3. Up to a certain point, Miles dislikes how Spider makes him feel; how he is caught off guard by the boy, made vulnerable, because Q thinks it’s "so much easier not to feel", until he inevitably "gives into it". Okayyy Slang I see what you’re teasing there 🤭

151

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

2. Quaritch isn’t spiritually loyal to RDA. His obligations go as far as his paycheck; he was a contract worker and is acutely aware that the mega-corp doesn’t care about him — only his value. The feeling is mutual. It goes to explain why he does his own thing so often and disobeys the top brass.

161

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

#avatar3 #milesquaritch #atwow #avatarfireandash Saw this extended Slang interview about Q and found out some interesting stuff I didn’t know before! 🧵 . 1.Q joined RDA because he was discharged from the military, a whole decade earlier than his service should end. We don’t know on what grounds yet.

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 02/11/2025

Nah bc it’s so so telling of just how committed Q is to making sure Spider is okay :( your honour that’s his baby 😭💖

000

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

#atwow #avatar2 #avatar3 #avatarfireandash #spidersocorro #milesquaritch #jakesully . Will never get over the fact that Quaritch sabotaged his own mission because he was worried for Spider’s life. He’s loyal to the mission, and wanted to off Jake SO bad…but it wasn’t worth possibly hurting his son.

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 23/10/2025

And yes, I’m a big believer that modern au Spider would rock stacked forest-y jewellery and forestcore fashion (he matches Kiri)

021

🌼Anxiousdreamcore🌼(commissions open!) @anxiousdreamcore.bsky.social · 23/10/2025

Context: Spider had enough of cartels messing with the people in his community, so he gets stuff from Quaritch’s safe (the password was his birthday) and does some robbing 🤭 for the greater good
