Idk if this will change as I get further in, but the Crows seem so sanitised to me, like they're just edgy cosplayers... I had Rook talk to some guy and ask him (whilst beaming) whether he sold poison. It seems kinda at odds with previous iterations lol. They're like goofy family mafia

- the writing does seem to have more of a "tell, don't show" vibe and there is a lot of handholding ("Rook!! That's two of three crystals in place only one more to go!!) - that being said, I did like the scene of settling into my quarters at the Lighthouse as an expository device. Cheesy but cool

I am 20 hours into it LOL I've been taking my time doing all the side quests and exploring so I don't think I'm very far into the main story. I don't mind the combat, I went duellist rogue so I am perfecting my parry skills!

- all of the puzzle stuff (opening chests, aligning crystals, companion skills to unlock things) also really reminds me of Jedi Survivor - unfortunately I could never stand either of the American Inquisitor voices in DAI but I'm in love with the M American Rook voice. He sounds vulnerable 😌

- The music isn't really doing it for me - the combat mechanics remind me of Fallen Order/Survivor which I do like. The parry indicators are bs though - there is too much going on in combat, too many colours and effects - Rook always has this goofy dumb smile and keeps saying the most INANE shit
