In alignment with the county's transportation vision, goals and initiatives, context sensitivity, and community priorities, we have established a modal priority framework to guide decisions along the county's transportation network.
The approach for this framework is underpinned in county and community values. The tiers of transportation modes, shown right, illustrate the priority of travel mode throughout the county.
This framework is a starting place for an iterative project planning and design development process. Key elements of safety, accessibility, green infrastructure, engagement, and context sensitivity guide in developing a solution that best meets the needs of the community.

Former Twins reliever who broke his arm wrestling with his kids and missed the chance to face his former team in the 1991 World Series
Berenguer suffered one of Major League
Baseball's oddest off-field injuries while pitching for Atlanta in 1991. On an off day, while he was home wrestling with his kids, he broke his pitching arm and ended up missing the remainder of the season, also missing out on the Braves' Cinderella run to the World Series that year. After retiring from MLB, he pitched for the Northern League Baseball club Duluth-Superior Dukes. He married Denise Colacurcio. His son Chris is a hockey player with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League.

This site is great: playoffstatus.com/nba/timberwo...
Picture of a spreadsheet displaying odds of western conference teams chances of making various seeding positions. Timberwolves have the following odds:

3 seed: 5 percent
4 seed: 27 percent
5 seed: 22 percent
6 seed: 22 percent
7 seed: 14 percent
8 seed: 10 percent

The Wolves “control their own destiny” to get as high as the fifth seed, but would need “help” (losses from teams ahead of or tied with us) to get the third or fourth seed.

LTE writer upset that Wolves fans chant “defense!” so compares it to a Trump rally This is the discourse worthy of publication by the Strib
TIMBERWOLVES
Stop the inane chanting
I write to address a serious societal issue
— one that has been front and center in the hearts and minds of those who have been watching on television the amazing run of the Timberwolves during the playoffs. Someone must call it out: the silly, consistent and sophomoric practice of those who shell out serious bucks to attend the games and shout "DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE," each time the other team has the ball.
OK, granted, this is a first-world problem and certainly does not rise to the significance of famine in Ethiopia, thesignificance of famine in Ethiopia, the ongoing suffering of innocent Palestinians in Gaza or the devastation of Putin's war in Ukraine. But this issue is one that is within our grasp to resolve.
What, pray tell, is the purpose of this loud and annoying and constant chant? Do the fans at Target Center think their team is unaware that the other team has the ball?
Do they want us, the TV audience, to be aware of what phase of the game we are watching? Maybe they are just victims of the throbbing drumbeat at Target Center, which encourages them to act like children and imitate the Republican Convention-goers in 2016 when their chosen chant was "LOCK HER UP, LOCK HER UP, LOCK HER UP." Makes one wonder if a variation of that chant will reappear this summer at the Republican convention.
Enough said! Your chant is childish! Stop it!

Not sure if this is a rash decision or not, but I decided to pull my recurring donation from MinnPost after they published Carol's lies.
I would like to cancel my MinnPost recurring donation. It's unclear how to do so via your website.

The recent opinion piece by Carol Becker contains numerous lies and other falsehoods. For example, these two sentences have zero factual backing:

"[Street design changes made by Minneapolis have] substantially increased auto congestion and, commensurately, carbon emissions and pollution. It may seem counterintuitive, but bike lanes in Minneapolis are often awful for the environment."

In addition, new homes built in Minneapolis do not "often cover every square inch of a lot." Nothing in Minneapolis 2040 reduces the opportunity for home ownership. The author of that piece contends otherwise, with zero evidence to back up the claim. There are other examples within the piece but I don't think it's worth breaking them all down here.

I've enjoyed your publication over the years and am proud to be someone who has contributed money regularly since the beginning of MinnPost <more cut off>

My LTE on housing got published let’s gooooo
Full text of my letter to the editor:

The recent article on affordable housing ("Middle-income buyers struggle to find a house in their budget in most Twin Cities suburbs,") tells a familiar story. People want to live in neighborhoods they choose. This means being close to family, friends and amenities.

Cities must make sure residents can age in place and stay in the area they love. We can't expect retirees to shovel snow and mow the lawn forever. Instead, let's build more housing options, like condos and townhomes. The one-size-fits-all model, where single-family homes are the only permitted option in many places, is not working. It makes housing more expensive, neighborhoods less accessible and keeps families further apart.

The "missing-middle" housing bill currently before the state Legislature would help solve this housing shortage. This bill would create more housing options for all Minnesotans, no matter where we choose to live.

Got my letter to the editor published in the Strib (sandwiched between two parking enthusiast letters but you can’t win em all)
My letter to the editor: Parking is very expensive to build, which is one reason I support eliminating parking requirements statewide. Right now, we are adding a "parking tax" (costing tens of thousands of dollars) to anyone who wants to open a new business or build affordable housing. Anyone who wants to build parking is still free to do so, but let's get rid of this outdated one-size-fits-all requirement across the state.
