Another picture of the Dalek Emperor, rendered in #Blender3D, comped in Photoshop.

The last of these three tin plates - 2005's 'The Parting of the Ways'. I completed this piece a whole two years ago now! It was a satisfying challenge sculpting this Emperor. More pics of him to come. #Blender3D

The Emperor Dalek as seen in the 2005 episode. In the foreground left to right are the Doctor (seen from behind), the title text, and a Dalek, also seen from behind. In the background around the Emperor, many Daleks are hovering.

The second of this batch of tin plate designs - Remembrance of the Daleks. Kapow! Love this story. #Blender3D

An array of Daleks, montaged against a background of Coal Hill School, The Imperial Dalek shuttlecraft, and planet Earth. The nearest Dalek is a grey Renegade firing its blue energy weapon. The Special Weapons Dalek in the middle distance fires its gun towards the right, creating a ploom of fire in the near-right corner.

I've made three more tin plate posters for Hachette's build-a-dalek magazine. First up is 'The Power of the Daleks'! I was aiming for a bit of a Frankenstein / B-movie vibe with this one. Rendered in #Blender3D

Image shows a 1960s silver and blue Dalek split in the middle, with its top half raised to reveal a messy little mutant, suspended amongst electricity which snakes around the rest of the split casing. In the background, two Daleks look on amidst Meccano-esque architecture, and a bright light coming from above.

I'd say Thunderball too. Sounds like a biography aside from the fact it doesn't use his name. 'He strikes, like Thunderball!" etc

Sometimes when I do a render for a piece of work I enjoy the simplicity of the early stages, before everything else is added. This is the CG scene from my Hachette Genesis of the Daleks tin poster, before the rest of the comp was added. #Blender3D. Comped in Photoshop.

A computer generated scene depicting three grey Daleks in a battleground environment as seen in the Doctor Who story 'Genesis of the Daleks'.

Today is the 20th Anniversary of Doctor Who series 2 - David Tennant's first season! 🥳 Here's a coin I had the pleasure of designing for Hachette recently. A celebration of 20 years of David Tennant's Doctor!

Close up photo of a coin, featuring a simplified image of David Tennant's Doctor against an embossed background of the TARDIS in a vortex-like setting with stylised stars dotted about.

After this amazing news I had to make a celebratory render of this iconic set we'll get to see more of soon. Welcome back Daleks' Master Plan 1 and 3! 🥳💥💃

Feel the tension! To represent the rising panic as this poor Dalek struggles to free itself, I used an eBow and my grandad’s cigar lighter to create a metallic anxiety. Check out the new animation by @antlamb.bsky.social - Obsolete episode 1 now on YouTube! Link in bio 👍🏻

My god this is a masterpiece. Not only it’s visually striking but the writing is insane (I actually got emotional over a broken Dalek). Anyway, a very cool Dr Who anniversary surprise that kinda makes me wish the show would stay on hiatus longer for brilliant whovians to shine like this.

A few people have asked how they might support 'Obsolete' going forward, so I’ve opened a Ko-fi page. I’ll be working on the animation regardless, but any support will help me keep pushing the project along. ko-fi.com/antlamb
