Autumn 2026 - Day #29 of Bird Ringing The weather conditions were not on our side today, and we had to close the nets after just two rounds. Nevertheless, we managed to catch some nice species.In total, 27 birds representing 9 species were ringed during the day.

Autumn 2026 - Day #28 of Bird Ringing A better day at the nets today, with the Blackcap being the most abundant species. We also recorded a new species, a clear sign that autumn has arrived. In total, 78 birds of 16 species were ringed.

Autumn 2026 - Day #27 of Bird Ringing A decent day at the nets, with fewer captures than yesterday. Once again, the Willow Warbler was the most abundant species. In total, 56 birds of 12 species were ringed.

The first control of the season has just been recorded. A first-year Garden Warbler was controlled today on the island during our ringing session. This is the first bird from Sweden that we have controlled. We are now eager to learn the ringing history of this individual.
