Short thread: The Peoples Want has published a short recap of this past June's first annual Mujawara Month of Action on their social media. As participants (in Minneapolis) who aren't on corporate socials, we thought we'd share here on the fedi. Original posts:
Last June, our month of Mujawara mobilized thousands around the world. We are extremely touched by the echo it has created across the planet. It was really beyond our hopes. Almost 100 events took place in more than 80 cities and geographies, across at least 25 countries and 5 continents.

These actions, organized and coordinated in the span of just a few months -- sometimes just a few weeks -- send us a powerful message: that we are not alone, that our revolts have not been in vain, that there are still many of us who have not given up and that many hope to connect so that we can continue the fight together. From Bangalore to Barcelona, from Kyiv to Johannesburg, from Kanaky to Chiapas, from Bogota to Montreal, spaces, groups, and organizations have warmly answered our call to weave a "Revolutionary Neighboring Beyond Borders." Mujawara Month was an invitation to build new connections between local spaces and collectives and nourish a nascent internationalist culture.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in this global month of action. From organizing football tournaments to creating a transnational radio; from collective readings of our internationalist manifesto to concerts that lasted all night long; from cooking delicious meals for hundreds of people to screening films about our different struggles -- you made Mujawara your own, in countless ways. From China to Syria, actions and gatherings were organized under the radar. From Madagascar to France, beautiful physical items were created to amplify the resonance of Mujawara beyond the month of June. From Scotland to Chile, the discussions organized opened the space to imagine future mobilizations.

Mujawara allowed us to physically come together knowing that from those spaces we inhabit, we are joining an international movement in the making. A movement that is anchored in diverse territories and fueled by the intersections of our struggles. A movement that is anchored in diverse territories and fueled by the intersections of our struggles. A movement that has the capacity to coordinate across languages and timezones, between diasporas and groups at home, exiled communities and long-standing local struggles.Beyond strengthening our capacity to coordinate, creating and reinforcing existing connections, learning about each other's struggles and discussing what can be done together, Mujawara was an opportunity to practice concrete solidarity. The money raised through the different events around the globe will go towards supporting Syrian and Sudanese revolutionaries. New places for Mujawara, new territorial anchors for the network and an increased capacity to resist the ongoing storm.

As our call has already stated: "This moment is but a step -- yet a decisive one: that of the slow but unwavering construction of a grounded material power, linking across the four corners of the planet the fragments of our nascent strength."

"Iranian prisoners are not asking to occupy a neutral position between two governments. They are speaking from a political position that neither government exhausts. To call that position third-campist is to mistake autonomy for equidistance.

Via Mutual Aid Disaster Relief: Two weeks after historic storms knocked out power across Indiana, thousands of residents in a predominantly Black community already in “survival mode” are still without electricity and reliable access to food and water.
Mutual Aid Disaster Relief

INDIANA STORM RECOVERY!
NW INDIANA IS IN NEED OF URGENT MUTUAL AID

Nearly two weeks after historic storms knocked out power across Indiana, thousands of residents, in a predominantly Black community already familiar with "survival mode" are still without electricity and reliable resources like food and water. In the absence of fast or equitable response, it's neighbors, mutual aid networks, and grassroots crews who are keeping each other alive: running pop-up kitchens and donation hubs, distributing supplies door-to-door, and checking in on elders as mobile medics.

We know from experience that we save each other.

Our collective was asked to help out at a mutual aid garden table during tomorrow's solidarity picnic in Minneapolis. We'll be raffling off a free raised garden bed, connecting folks to free soil, and committing #distroism .
