Geordie visited the Vet today to get his Prozac refilled. We switched from an oral emulsion to a topical ear gel b/c 1/3 of the time he spits out his meds. Also, my son can now administer his meds when I’m on the road. He also got his rabies sharp. He’s been lethargic ever since. #CatsOfBluesky 💕🐈‍⬛😴

My son & I spent the day in Lincoln City, OR. We ate lunch Kryllo’s, an excellent seafood restaurant. Fresh everything, & the slaw wasn’t super sweet or over-dressed. Hung out w/ some local fishermen & watched the seals sunbathe across the inlet. Beautiful day! 🏖️🦭😎🌏✌️

Our 2 rescue kitties, Geordie (B/W) & Apollo (tabby) could not be more different. Geordie thinks he’s a human. He’s smarter than the average cat, curious & basically “The Fool” Tarot card. Apollo is your generic cat. Loves pets. Lives for meal-time & likes sunning in the window. 💕🐈‍⬛🐈 #CatsOfBluesky

Geordie & Apollo: our 2 rescue kitties. Geordie was surrendered b/c he’s polydactyl & very intelligent & was a bottle baby. He’s on Prozac for ADHD. Apollo came from a cat hoard where he did not get fed regularly. For a large cat, his tail is under-developed & he gets stressed about food. 1/

I’m generally not a fan of comedies, but one of my faves is City Slickers. I just watched it again tonight & remembered why it’s such a classically good film. It’s fun & goofy & will make you laugh & cry. 👍

It’s interesting how watching the LOTR trilogy, meant to be a parable about WWI, reminds me of the current state of our world. Tolkien fought in WWI & meant LOTR as a way to depict the horror of that time, but my, how it also reflects the horror of OUR time, eh?

My cat Geordie loves music. We’ve found that he likes Pachelbel’s Canon in D, anything by The Carpenters that’s low/slow, “The Dream of Delphi” by @batforlashes.music-social.com - anything that’s beautifully harmonic. He has kitty ADHD, & these songs really chill him out. #CatsOfBluesky 🐈‍⬛💕🎶

My son, Daniel, used to feed Geordie & Apollo prior to leaving for work every morning. But, we had to change that routine because Apollo (the tabby) would bully Geordie out of his food & eat too much & then get sick. This is them watching Daniel now as he leaves for work, not feeding them. 😂

Geordie has been on Prozac for 4 months & he is a a changed cat. Still his quirky, goofy, self, but no more anxiety, biting, scratching, endless zoomies. But, he’s VERY smart. His meds are due at 9 pm each night. He now gets above the cupboards in the kitchen to hide from me.🐈‍⬛🤷‍♀️💉🤣 #CatsOfBluesky

I can’t believe I have a cat so attuned to music! Geordie LOVES Pachelbel Canon in D, Clair de Lune & several other very soothing songs. He has kitty ADHD & anxiety, but these songs really settle him down. I wish I knew who his first fam was. 🐈‍⬛❤️🎶

More musical journeys w/ Geordie. Because he has kitty ADHD/anxiety, we often play music for him. I’ve discovered that he likes music that has lots of harmonies, whether they’re instrumental or vocal. They really calm him down. Tonight, I found out he likes Take It to the Limit by The Eagles.
