anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 16/11/2025This perspective is mainly based on inconsistencies I’ve ran into when designing shorter, snappier assets for runtime playback in games. For music application, I love LUFS-I 100
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 16/11/2025Generally speaking, I find them useful. But… LUFS-M is all over the place for short program material. You could playback a sub-0.5 second file and get any range of measurements. Plus, LUFS skew in favor of midrange. While this *generally works*, it’s not always aligned with our loudness perception 100
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 16/10/2025I like to build custom ones in Phase Plant using the granular engine. Same deal for creature source generation; toss in a few different creatures and cross your fingers for happy accidents :) 000
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 22/08/2025Agreed, it’s entirely dependent on the pipeline. Jira is far and away my favorite. I’ve worked under some nightmare processes and proprietary tooling. The former ALWAYS impacts the latter. 000

anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 01/07/2025Why are all modern restaurants so gimmicky? I just want good food 😭 000
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 28/06/2025Yeah and honestly, whatever works for folks, more power to them. I just think there’s other ways to arrive at the sound parallel compression can give you without the potential of phasing or session/track count bloat. It’s such an additive process that my thought is usually “just turn it up” 110

anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 25/04/2025Ok hold up it’s DEFINITELY the bluesky compression. My data was pulling the audio stream and it sounded like wind through a vocoder at first lol 110
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 25/04/2025Amazing how digital it sounds. I’m sure the bluesky compression doesn’t help, but such a unique sound nonetheless! 110
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 23/04/2025Looks so good as expected. One of the few single player IPs that’s a day 1 buy for me :) 020

anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 12/04/2025I feel the same way. So weird how that happens, but I just haven’t been connecting with his music as much over the years. 110

anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 15/03/2025This video is the best example I’ve ever seen of narrative driving creative direction. 030
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 15/03/2025I finally bought a halfway decent webcam and now I’m reeling in embarrassment over how lo-fi I’ve looked in meetings for the past 4 years. 010
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 10/03/2025I’m biased as a huge Kojima fan, but it’s gotta be so sick to work on an IP like that. 120
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 10/03/2025Isolating the delta signal to extract cool textures = awesome Slapping resonance suppression on a mix instead of being thoughtful with your EQ = not awesome 040
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 10/03/2025Seeing lots of new “resonance suppression plug-ins” and I worry that they’ll sterilize music mixing in the long-term. Why do we need thousands of spectral bands *assuming* resonances are bad? We should be using our ears to determine which resonances are offensive and which aren’t. 150
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 03/03/2025Nothing sums up the audio experience quite like the “Best Sound” Oscar winners getting rushed off the stage before they could even speak 😣 020
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 03/03/2025Your team should be up there accepting the “Best Sound” award, but nonetheless I’ll also be rooting for the other categories! 120
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 02/03/2025The older I get, the higher I value good public transportation; in which I have none of in south Florida 040
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 28/02/2025While I don’t have a specific recommendation, before buying, I’d suggest ensuring the KVM switch supports your monitors’ max refresh rate. I made the mistake of buying one that maxes out at a 60 Hz refresh rate, so now I only use it for shared USB connections (mouse & keyboard). 000
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 24/02/2025The latter sounds like Wrath of the Lich King (my favorite expansion). Very cool 100

anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 23/02/2025Totally! I find the non-audio people tend to provide some of the best feedback, whether they realize it or not. Always good to get on their wavelength 000
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 23/02/2025I understand linear and nonlinear media are VERY different mediums, but I feel a lot can be learned by adopting a feel-first mindset. Jeff Ellis goes into depth about that in this video as it applies to music mixing: youtu.be/pS-nZdYpMgo?...youtu.beMixing Masterclass with Jeff Ellis [Doja Cat, d4Vd, Frank Ocean]YouTube video by SonicScoop 010
anthony turi @anthonyturi.bsky.social · 23/02/2025Another example would be obtuse HDR systems that are overkill for many smaller scale projects. I hear many games with audible pumping in their mixes and I suspect it comes down to their mix structures having excessive state changes and RTPC driven attenuations. 110
