2/2 But in an expanded series dealing with Alex's home life, you would essentially wipe out 35% of what makes the character work because his childhood & where he grew up informs much of what he does as a detective.

1/2 I know that some people would say "What's the difference between changing the color of this character (Alex Cross) to White vs a situation like making Heimdall (Thor) black."? In a single movie (Kiss the Girls, Along Came a Spider) - you could actually get away with it. #AlexCross

The crazy thing about being a #GenX parent of teens is constantly lamenting that our children aren't built like us while - simultaneously being thankful that our children didn't have to be built like us.

It's a guest essay though so those don't really count as much as an actual editorial article by a writer there

Monsters are not created in vacuums. And the silence and compliance of "good people" is how they rise to power. This is in businesses, families, GOVERNMENT. The days of being quiet in the face of foolishness have led us here. Too many cowards create monsters.

I've gone on record as saying that I'm not going to hold on to any parts of my hair once the top of my unit starts thinning. As soon as that happens my Dome is going to be as smooth as a baby's butt .. believe that

I would consider myself to be more balanced/instinctual thinker- than a critical thinker. Especially as I got into my mid 40s. I think my years of programing has taught me that the most simplest explanation is often closest to the truth.
