A new #scifi #book birthday! I started this sci-fi series while exploring Malaysia. A great part of #traveling is learning new tidbits of places, experiencing cultural aspects and the daily sights, sounds, and smells. They get the creativity revving. I love weaving these details into my work.

Those aren't birds. They're flying foxes. Thousands of explode from the trees at #sunset every night from Kalong Island. If you're careful, you can even see babies clinging to their mothers. Literally, it's a stream of flying #mammals for a good hour or more. #photography #travel #wildlife
