🎂2️⃣5️⃣th 🕹️🧊 Not seen on the shelf, Resi 4 as that is actually on loan to a friend.

A shelf of GameCube boxes with favourite titles like Zelda Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing, and Mario Party 4. In front of the boxes there is a little LEGO build of Celeste, a red star gazing owl from Animal Crossing.

Oh no, what have you started...?

This is my result from playing this addictive tube route planner Kate recommended. I am a whole 23 mins off the recommended route, but, like Google, it doesn't know how fast I can walk 17 elevators down in the bowls of London...

It worked! Lovely to spend the #eclipse with folks from the village, all with hand made viewing contraptions

Mario and his welding glass eyes looking for the eclipse

I've made my mask out of Mario's crotch

A second box mask, with welding glass, made to watch the eclipse. The pattern is from Mario's blue overalls

As I had a #NintendoUK order this week, and it's the #eclipse tomorrow, I've made this cursed Mario Welding glass eye mask for my hubby. So pleased 😁

An empty cardboard box left over from a Nintendo store order, with Mario printed on the inside. He is doffing his hat

I have cut out Mario's face from the box, and stuck a piece of shade 12 welding glass to the back

I have cut out Mario's eyes so he won't be blinded by the sun

My husband now had a welding goggle mask to watch the eclipse. He is holding the Mario mask up to his face as a test, it has folded back wings where Mario's ears are to grip the mask. Mario's eyes are now not the same size. His big friendly button nose is very prominent under his new welding glass coloured eyes

Been clearing out my office, found this press kit from Amuzo Games (2011/12 ???) and now think the thumbdrive in here is *actually* a Biohazard...

The sealed bag on the left has biohazard written on, and has a sticky thimbdrive inside. The printed pamphlet with it says please examine contained sample, take all precautions, level 6 quarentine. You have approx 8 minutes to destroy brain stem, it's the only way!

Finally devoured 'Butter' by Asako Yuzuki. The complex dynamics of female relationships with food, bodies, work, lovers, friends... so deliciously wrapped up. The descriptions of eating soy, butter & rice alone vs the pressure of a big cook for friends & fam, all inspired by real crime. Wow #booksky

On the table are 3 books; Butter by Asako Yuzuki which has a golden yellow cover with a picture of a dairy cow, and smears of bloody fingerprints, Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata which has a pinky purple cover and a brown soy sauce fish container, and Strange Pictures by Uketsu which has a striking neon green and red cover that also has a soy sauce fish, and squid sushi and drops of blood haning off both.

Having a sort out of boxes this weekend, came across these tatty old comic books from 1958 - 1976. "Rick Random's Perilous Mission" looks retro awesome. The White Cockade is... of its time. Think I need some colouring pencils and some picture frames.

A collection of tatty comic books from 1958 to 1976. There are some Spiderman, and Superman Pocket Books priced at 15p each, and a sci-fi title called Rick Random's Perilous Mission. The others are mostly army and navy titles.

Finally got round to playing Jusant; simply delightful! Uncovering a story of a tower world gone dry via left behind letters from evacuees & set against some intricate, smartly designed rock climbing environments, what an experience, loved every inch. And where can I buy me a plushie Ballast??

A character with shortish dark hair and a black feather cape is blowing into a conch shell trumpet. On their cheeks are two neon blue line markings. On their shoulder is a small blueish creature called a Ballast. The Ballast has its eyes closed listening to the shell. It is plump with little stumpy front legs

Just finished The Plucky Squire; a refreshingly joyful way to battle egotistical bad guys and corporate minions. Loved how it experimented with so many mini-game ideas in one big picture book adventure, flipping from 2D to 3D magically, and literally playing on words. Awesome narration too! ✒️

The character Moonbeard the wizard from the video game The Plucky Squire. Moonbeard has a white, crescent moon shaped beard, yellow sunglasses, and a sky blue robe. He is slomped in a beanbag chair, with a video game controller in his hand and a bowl of snacks next to him.

Bagged a bargain selection of posters from MovieManiacsDesign at today's Guildford ComicCon, plus some DieHard+Zombie mashup comics & a small figurine of a cat drinking beer. Great to see so many families chatting to busy creative artists, illustrators, comic book writers & costume makers.

A selection of posters made to look like famous newspapers or magazines but featuring characters from movies like Agent Carter, Lord Flashheart, and Ferris Bueller
