Ah so you have been living here during the Trump administration. That is different. As in different from anything I have ever lived through. My husband died in 2017 and the next month I joined the protests. Many stopped during Biden. No idea why. The danger was obvious.

Good point. Outside the US people keep saying “we would take to the streets until we won”, but I look at successful resistance movements and they take a decade or more in most cases. Yeah, depressing and I don’t have that long.

I too wish we would quit bragging about cursive. I still can’t write legibly! Even my mother with her elegant writing was printing in her nineties so she could read it. Yippee I can read old letter. Way more skill than just cursive. Important for historians. Not worth the fighting.
