I have some guesses at why this result is so whacky but more curious why you think they get such a huge outlier result. 030

anotherbensegal.bsky.social @anotherbensegal.bsky.social · 13/08/2026do you know if anyone is collecting examples of judges making up facts in their opinions? I‘ve been thinking about this for a while but would love a collection of these instances where legal and factual reality diverge. 000
anotherbensegal.bsky.social @anotherbensegal.bsky.social · 10/08/20263) AI is not about to become a universal super lawyer. But it does risk exacerbating real, existing problems by shunting ordinary people into bad services while providing new tools for already abusive BigLaw defense firm tactics. I take seriously that slop filings may burden courts and agencies. 0100
anotherbensegal.bsky.social @anotherbensegal.bsky.social · 10/08/20262/ The problems worry about are 1) lack of affordable legal services meaning people with real harms get misled by terrible (artificially cheap) bot lawyers and 2) that large companies with endless resources bury opponents in ai-generated paperwork and borderline frivolous filings. 170
anotherbensegal.bsky.social @anotherbensegal.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Lawyer here: Am consistently struck by how bad even purpose-built ai law tools are. It’s not just fake cases but (very frequent) misreadings of real cases that get people in trouble. But AI produces work with the outward gloss of expertise and it is cheap, so the fear of slop overrun is legitimate 5427

For years, I’ve argued that CA has less of a housing shortage and more a housing distribution problem, and taxing un- and under-occupied space would be a really good idea 010

anotherbensegal.bsky.social @anotherbensegal.bsky.social · 29/05/2026Seems like ‘macro economic stats aren’t that terrible yet a huge number of people are miserable and financially anxious’ is a great argument for socialism/social democracy/etc & ‘this is how you feel when the system is working as intended’ is a great argument for system change. anotherbensegal.bsky.social @anotherbensegal.bsky.social · 01/05/2026I’m really fascinated & encouraged by these charts, but have one lingering question: what should we make of the rise in imports? What is the generation mix for those & is CA diverting renewables that would otherwise go into other markets? 120
