Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 09/09/2026Yeaaaaaah. The iPhone Duo is literally the Surface Duo. But done right. Proof will be in the pudding. But this is all the stuff I loved about the Surface Duo. 000
Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 09/09/2026Earlier this year I built an under-cabinet weather clock. The question I kept getting was: what if I want one on my desk? So I built the round version. Raspberry Pi or ESP32-P4, open source, no app or account required. And if you want, you can just buy one. youtu.be/BLWPl8A7HzAyoutu.beI built the smart clock of my dreamsYouTube video by Anoraker 000

Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 02/08/2026My Wi-Fi problems were not caused by weak signal or slow internet. My smart home had simply grown beyond what my router could reliably handle. Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 21/07/2026I think everyone in tech remembers the Facebook Portal smart displays. We all laughed and said it would never make it... which it didn't. But now they're super easy to modify and turn into useful smart displays! And shockingly, it's thanks to Facebook. And it so dang easy. 000
Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 21/07/2026Actual comment from this video that gives me a bit of joy: "Wait, why are no other YouTubers talking about this? I have my portal at home and going to try this tonight!" Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 03/06/2026UltraHuman was hacked and waited two months to tell everyone. This serves as a reminder to myself... when you sign up for a service attached to hardware, you aren't just giving your fitness data to that company... but eventually to their hackers too. 000

Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 21/05/2026One of my great regrets is the fact that someone from the @raspberrypi.com magazine reached out to feature one of my projects in their summer edition... and Instructables didn't tell me about the message and I didn't see it until too late. That would have been so friggin' amazing. Sigh. 000

Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 20/01/2026It feels like we're so close ... there's some real interesting attempts at great smart glasses. Josh Hendrickson @anoraker.com · 20/01/2026I want smart glasses to be a thing so much, but the more I play with them the more I realize that we're just not quite there.
