The point of that scene in Pretty Woman was that the store was classist. Roberts was gorgeous *and* they saw her as trash because of her dress and voice, so assumed she couldn’t afford anything. Clarkson’s point was they saw her as a cheap Karen (as you put it) and similarly dismissed her for class.
