AI is all about uncoupling responsibility from consequences. They want to own the benefits but not crimes. A human hacking Medicare would have been charged, but not AI. The creators of the tech need to be held responsible for the actions of their beasts, and there need to be serious penalties.

What about travel cost, congestion, wasted time, the public infrastructure needed for millions of people to all travel to the same CBD location at the same time? Why are these productivity losses never factored into the work commute? Because these costs are borne by workers and not businesses?

I find it bizarre to see comments like: "I don't like Shoebridge, so they'll never get my vote." "I can't support their position on immigration." "I know the ALP are Zionist lackeys who are clearly working for their billionaire donors, and not the people, but who else can you vote for?"

The Greens always seem to be held to a standard that applies to no other party. Even though a voter might agree with 98% of their platform, all it takes is one single policy for people to turn against them. I wish I could understand why? Particularly when ALP/LNP/ON are shit most of the time!

We are the same country that gives away vast quantities of our gas for free, and allows mining companies to pay zero tax for decades. The worst part is most Aussies want something done about this, but they just can't stop voting for the old duopoly parties that screw them over, time and time again.

If humans hacked Medicare and the NSW govt they would be arrested, prosecuted and jailed. If Russia or China hacked Medicare and the NSW govt, just imagine the international incident. OpenAI gets to call it a whoopsie and… keep doing it? Nice for some.

The people who drive them are obnoxious, entitled arseholes. The fact taxpayers subsidise the purchase of these destructive behemoths is offensive and stupid.

We seem to have a tax deductions regime where Australian taxpayers generously cover every business expense, and that can be applied to counteract future profits forever. I'm all for supporting businesses that benefit Australia, but these companies evidently don't pay their fair share.

But they promised we'd see tens of thousands of jobs created, and billions upon billions of dollars in royalties and tax revenue from these mines. I can't believe none of those promises were true. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with those crucial data centres we all desperately need!

We all know that nothing of the sort will happen. Like his predecessors, he'll leave politics (to spend more time with family) and walk straight into a cushy and very lucrative job with a fossil fuel company as a consultant, director or lobbyist. This is the well-worn path for all duopoly pollies.

Our parliament would be significantly better with more intelligent, ethical, and hard-working people like David Shoebridge. The kind of person who sees it as a privilege and a duty to work for the benefit of the Australian people, rather than billionaires and corporations.

While I applaud the government for stopping to credit card surcharges, since stores can't openly show them now, a local shop has simply increased their prices by 20 cents. The govt should have banned the banks from charging the merchants a fee. Fuck the banks! They are profitable enough.

Stand-up. Speak-up. get out and make your voice heard. Be on the right side of history. Protest make a difference. It affects governments and makes them scared. If protest ineffective, they wouldn't be so desperate to ban it, would they?

What makes it worse is that, after years of LNP climate division and destruction, Albo finally offered us... hope. Hope that an ALP govt might do something positive. But that hope quickly turned to disappointment, then frustration, dismay became bitterness, and finally white hot fucking anger!

Think about it. The insane cost of fuel is principally because two narcissistic arseholes are desperate to avoid going to jail. One starts wars and kills innocent children to delay a corruption trial. The other starts wars to distract attention away from his participation in a paedophile ring.

The US has severely depleted their arsenal of weapons bombing Iran and fending-off cheap drones. They also have very little hope of replenishing their supply because China dominates the minerals, machinery and chemicals market and they have banned sales to companies manufacturing weapons.

1. China doesn't need or want a war. They already run the world's biggest manufacturing, minerals and chemicals processes. 2. Same with car manufacturing and electrification - solar, batteries, turbines, etc. 3. EVs are inevitable. Trump's war guaranteed their success. The ABC is irredeemable.

I recall a time when every small community could afford to build schools, hospitals, libraries, maintain roads and parks. Until neoliberalism convinced us govt was inefficient, so we sold and privatised everything, and the profits went offshore. Now we're heavily in debt and can't afford anything.
