My partner had an old Switch he wasn't using, so I started a new island specifically to recreate the NVM. Over the last few months I've been progressing the island and doing a lot (a *lot*) of terraforming and decorating. I've had to reshape the museum section so many times.

When the 3.0 update for ACNH came out earlier this year, I realised I could make a mini-museum on my island with the retro consoles and other furniture. It quickly became clear that I didn't have space on my original island to put in everything I wanted, however.

I've copied over a few custom designs for the crew shirt and the signs, but I'll need to make more for the building exterior and some other things. I think partly it's more stressful now because I'm not as time-gated by game mechanics; just how much time I can put in.

I picked up a secondhand copy of the game yesterday, so I can transfer furniture/recipes/bells etc from my main island to the new one. 11 trips later and I've shared a whole bunch of stuff. Plan is to have the museum on the second level of the island, so I've levelled out a massive section for it.

So, update on the Animal Crossing NVM project: hit 3-stars last week, had KK Slider visit, and unlocked a whole bunch of stuff (landscaping, hotel, Harv's island co-op, Brewster's cafe, gyroids, probably more I'm forgetting. Done a bunch of terraforming, but still need to do a bit more.
