Ours turned out to be plum and heritage varieties when we thought we had bought standard plants They have been wonderful

We ate the last of our tomato crop today They have been absolutely delicious this year

I never ate them until we started growing them. I’m now making up for lost time I’d eat them cooked but never raw now I absolutely love them

Yes, for the last two years outside in pots. We don’t have room for a greenhouse They have done really well, this year especially

Well he’s good at that , defecting

It makes you wonder why he was given such a high profile position

Every broadcast should come with this warning

As someone has already said Successful is doing some very heavy lifting

Yes the invisible men pulling the strings

A person I know who lives in a first floor apartment was left with a sofa on the roadside because it wouldn’t fit up the stairs It’s costing a bit for them to come out and do their measuring thing but at least my mind will be at rest

I really don’t understand why this “Russian Interference“ is suddenly news . It’s been common knowledge for years as has “USA Interference “ I suppose it’s being used as a LOOK SQUIRRELS ! decoy

I’m using the last of our tomatoes today We have virtually lived on them all summer 🍅

Nothing better than soup this time of year

It’s all just something else that stops me actually sleeping I’m either too hot or too cold

I make a huge vat of soup that lasts all week ( almost) It’s a good job we like it! 🫘

I’m a very “hot sleeper” , at my age I ought to be over this kind of thing

Today we are having a “ dry run” from the furniture shop to see if the furniture we are buying will actually fit through the door If it doesn’t I’m not sure what will happen. Maybe they will have an alternative but they are the experts I know someone who bought a sofa that couldn’t be delivered

It looks very snuggly. I haven’t got the winter bedding on yet but it won’t be long

Since my last cat Kitty left us I can’t believe how much spare time I have now I’m no longer a Cat Butler I didn’t realise how much work she made , still miss her terribly though

We need to keep posting this because it doesn’t fit into Bridget’s narrative She would like to rewrite the whole story, we mustn’t let her

The UK government, governed by the party of which Phillipson is chair, extended immunity for British soldiers engaged in extrajudicial killings in Northern Ireland yesterday. Yesterday.

I’m not sending cards this year. We have friends in Spain. Last year I posted them a card well before the last day for posting with the correct postage and airmail stickers. I took it to the PO to be sure all was right. It arrived at its destination at the end of January

Once a week for letters but they seem to put all the effort into parcels which get delivered at all hours of the day and night. I post all birthday cards a fortnight early. I’m not bothering with Christmas cards this year

It’s a 20 minute walk to the nearest PO which isn’t too bad for me Our WH Smith in the city centre is closing down ! It’s the end of an era

I’ve totally sacked M&S

It’s unbelievably dreadful. Earlier this year I was spending a fortune on postage for probate because I couldn’t truss them not to lose stuff that couldn’t be replaced Nobody seems to be talking about how bad it all is

We get one delivery per week for letters. If I lived in the Outer Hebrides I could understand but I live in Sheffield I’ve spoken to the postman about it and he says they are doing their best The whole service is on the point of collapse

Well we had 2 different screw in bulbs in the back up box but they really aren’t very bright Buying light bulbs really was much easier in the olden days
