I've never liked drawing cakes, but I've drawn so many of them that I decided to count them... :D I think I'm getting better at it, and I might even start to enjoy it

This isn't the best approach, as doing things in parts can lead to subpar results :D, but we can always fix it and even redo it on a new layer, even if the drawing is complete. Never be afraid to redraw something - that's something I've only recently learned.

The color is the fastest part, I don't know why. I get so involved in the process that I never have time to screenshot the intermediate steps. It wouldn't work anyway, because I'm doing it in parts. I fill each part in layers, and then I start applying shadows, lights, and textures one by one.

Line. as I said, I hate thinking at this stage, so I try to make all my decisions on the sketch so that I can make the line final without correcting it many times. I was a hater of the line in the past because I lined dirty sketches, which made my line not well-thought-out. It was terrible.

then I make another #sketch on a new layer until I get a perfectly clean sketch with minimal mistakes that I can line without thinking. I don't like to think during the line stage :D I usually make 4 sketches, the fourth being the final one, but in this case, I only needed to make 2

First I make a very rough sketch, over the years of #drawing you remember how it should look... only time and experience can help you remember the right proportions and anatomy, and honestly I still consider myself to be in the early stages of learning..
