Sixteen months. 50 chapters. 191,262 words. It is done. The last three chapters of Book XIII: China - finale of Phoenix Odyssey - and the announcement of the fourth and final series in the Phoenix Saga - all drop tomorrow.

I know. I'd still love a modern take. One of my favorite games of all time.

Another fave, also from my song lyrics...

Tank top that reads "diabolically, chaotically, hypnotically erotic" from the lyrics to Demon in Your Radio.

I also released an entire new book today that I have been writing in secret, in parallel with both Book XIII & Reignited. The Wildfire Tour: Live from Seoul is your backstage pass to the complete performance you see the setup for in Heart and Seoul, the band's second performance in South Korea.

Likewise, for band I'll say Geoff's group VoicePlay IRL, and Ranko's band, Ranko and the Dapper Dragons (though that Shinji guy can be something of a dick sometimes.)

So, here's a fun stat. With Book II completed... Phoenix Reignited is now just barely shy of 4,000 words longer than Phoenix Ignited - all **four** books of it. Putting some meat on them bones!

Sorry, not used to platforms offering alt text as an option. I'll transcribe. Posting again with alt text, will have to do it twice to fit it all since it's long.

Sorry for the mass ping, but given the significance of the day, I felt it important to speak to everyone for a minute.

I know emotions are running high for most, if not all, of us today. Many of us are angry, frightened, and in some cases downright panicked. First and foremost, I want to say that your feelings and fears are valid, and real. None of us know what the next four years will bring, but we know that in a lot of ways, it will probably be a step backward in the safety and visibility of a good many of the people who populate the Speakeasy, our families and friends. Today, simply put, sucks.

But I wanted to take a minute to talk about some other things that happened in the last 24 hours.

Many of our friends published chapters of trans and gay fiction. Even some smut. People read it, enjoyed it, laughed at it, cried with it.

People of all genders and orientations met in our NSFW channels and enjoyed each other's company to mutual benefit.

A 45-year-old trans woman who was shier than a 13-year-old on a first date shared a selfie in a dress for the first time ever and was met with a barrage of overwhelming love and support that lasted for more than eight hours.

While many of us in the US have the day off for Martin Luther King Day, several of us got up, dressed cute, and went to work out and proud as the beautiful, brave women they are.

All that to say, the enemy may be at the gate, but, our lives have gone on. We are still who we are, and while our fight may get harder in the days and months to come, our spines get stronger with each new friendship we forge, every egg we crack, and every hug shared among the ever-growing sisterhood that exists here. There are over 150 incredible, fierce, courageous, inspiring, brilliant, giving, loving, gorgeous, resilient trans women and allies of all ages, races, creeds and backgrounds who have gathered in this place together to love and laugh with each other.

That WILL NOT be taken from us. Not today. Not EVER.

So today, grieve as you will. Cry if you need to. Vent if you need to. Hide if you need to. But when the tears are dry and the last echo of the last anguished scream fades, we will come together again, right here, as a family, and we will fight for each other. We will hold each other up in the face of danger, shelter each other from the storm, and heal each other's wounds with love and compassion.

We can outlast this, and we will. Together.

As a dear friend of mine once said, and as I am constantly being reminded on the days when my own courage fails...

YOU ARE WANTED.
YOU HAVE WORTH.
YOU HAVE PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT YOU.

PrincessColumbia and I love you all. Every last one of you. Stay strong, stay safe, stay proud, and stay brave.

The Phoenix inside never dies.
You ignite, and you RISE!
