Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 07/12/2023I'm very happy to share that I've received funding for a new project asking whether - and when - interest groups represent their members. I look forward to collaborate with colleagues interested in similar questions and will also recruit a postdoc for the project. Please get in touch if interested! 1232

Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 20/10/2023One more apple pie to finish our “æbleferie” in style. Next week it’s back to work and probably some more professional posts here 😊 1100
Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 19/10/2023It doesn’t look like much, but this “æbleflæsk” with apples, onions and bacon is a lunch favourite. This is how it’s made in my husband’s family - in my family we would use whole pork strips instead of small pieces of bacon. Maybe this is just a Danish thing? 190

Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 12/10/2023The call for sections for the next @ecpr.bsky.social General Conference is out. I’m sure Dublin is a wonderful conference location, but for most people it’s also hard to reach in a climate friendly way. Has this been a concern as the ECPR chose this location? polisky 2193

Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 05/10/2023Enig. 110
Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 05/10/2023Congrats and enjoy your day! I didn't know they hand out the grant money in person 😉 110
Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 04/10/2023Next, we look at elite revolvers. Only 21 individuals have held a position in a different elite group. The most common shift is from the bureaucracy to a position as interest group CEO. This is a crucial corrective to existing myths of a high frequency of elite revolvers 4/5 110
Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 04/10/2023We code elite careers and identify clusters of careers. We find little overlap in the careers of our elite groups - politicians have spent most of their time in parties, top bureaucrats are recruited from within the bureaucracy and interest group chairs show most diversity 3/5 110
Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 04/10/2023Our analysis includes: 1) MPs & ministers, 2) Top bureaucrats, 3) Elected chairs of interest groups and 4) CEO's of interest groups. We argue that recruitment criteria and reputational cargo affect how similar these groups are and whether shifts across groups will occur 2/5 131
Anne Binderkrantz @annebind.bsky.social · 25/09/2023Not exactly consistent with my self-image of having a broad and diverse research agenda. Will try to avoid the word 'interest' in future publications.. 010
