The Stoics called reputation an external.
So was admiration.
So was rejection.
So was being understood.
Why?
Because every one of them lives inside someone else's mind, a place you will never govern.
So why build your peace

Read this slowly.
The day you stop needing everyone to understand your heart is the day silence stops feeling lonely.
Because your conscience becomes enough company.

People only understand you through the limits of their own experience.
Some will reduce you to your worst mistake and others to your greatest achievement.
Some will never see you clearly.
Not because they're evil, but because no human being can see another soul completely.

The Stoics believed that peace begins when your conscience becomes a higher court than public opinion.
Know that the world will always misunderstand some part of you.
Some people will admire you for the wrong reasons and others will condemn you for reasons that aren't even true.
Neither changes the state Popuse truth soul unless you permit it.

Ruin comes from two directions: the wise who hold their tongues when truth is required, and the ignorant who let their words run loose when silence is needed.
To possess the truth and bury it is a coward's choice. To possess no knowledge and shout directions is a danger to all. True discipline requires measuring the weight of your words against the emptiness of the room. Speak only when it improves upon the silence.

As I lay down to rest
Under the shade of a tree, In the comfortable nest That was made just for me

I breathe in the air And bathe in the breeze, What a beautiful day It is to 'be'

We are not searching for an answer.
Only a place to breathe
to gather the pieces, to sit with the silence and hold the parts of us we thought were gone.
A place to begin again when everything seems lost,
when the road ahead feels unfamiliar
and the weight feels heavy.
Because sometimes we are not looking for a way out.
Only a moment to be still, and know
we are still here.

Here you are. Best way to start is always with a step forward. So? Lift that foot & lean yourself forward. Begin that momentum & carry through. Your course is charted, trimmed & true. You are on your way. Good luck! Let's do this! Go! Be careful. Be safe. Be shiny. Be glimmer. Be you. Take no shit.

Nobody tells you that choosing also means letting something go.
A life
you will never live.
You wait,
hoping the right road will call you.
It never does.
It waits
for the quiet courage of one step.
Step by step, the road learns your doubts, your mistakes, your unfinished heart
Years
later,
you look back and recognize the stranger you left behind at the beginning,

Welcome to Saturday & it's so good to see you here! Today, is a good time to recontemplate, regard, reexamine, resurvey, re-scrutinize, & relax! You decide. That is all you need to do. Or, do all that you feel you need to do. Let's go! Be careful. Be safe. Be shiny. Be glimmer. Be you. Take no shit.

I had a dream
Built up inside
That the grass was greener On the other side
So, I packed my things And booked a flight To a nicer place And a quieter life
But what I found
Once I was there
I felt the same
No matter where
The place had changed But my state of mind Was the one to blame
The entire time

Oh, you've done it! You moved with purpose, resolve, determination, & here you are on Friday's eve! Not much further to go. So set sights. Square yourself & follow your course. Steer clear of loose gravel as you journey on. Let's go! Be careful. Be safe. Be shiny. Be glimmer. Be you. Take no shit.

Life is short, Break the Rules.
Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly.
Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably
And never regret
ANYTHING That makes you smile.
